ya i got it too and i went to the mall to get it and i put all of the mascara on i had in the house and then stuck lots of metal things in my ears and eyes and shit so i would look cool, Aand i met all of my mallpunk friends there and we all went to hot topic to all get it and they were sld out so we all pooled our money and bought this bootleg copy from this cool guy, 'Johnson', in the foodcourt and we went outside and put the CD in the player in some guys car and the damn thing didn't work, then we all had this mass suicide, I had lots of fun

there old stuff is the good stuff, i dont really like their new CD.. a few songs are alright but they are getting too old for the music they are playing.. They are married and have kids, can't say i can relate..

I have always liked Blink but whoever said MTV ruined thme is so correct...Im not sayin that blink are complete sell outs but they are way over played and MTV turned them into a pop band not a punk/emo as u would say

Their music has def changed alot since they first started, I guess you have to be a true fan to still like their new albums since they are so different from the originals.

What is different about their new stuff? Cause I am sick of the old stuff, but I do like the new song on the radio (kinda.) Is the new CD a lot like that kinda sound?

I like their new stuff cause its more mature and they (almost) got over the fact that they all have a penis. Their old stuff was funny in 8th grade.

I dont believe that Blink 182 even deserves the whole speech i could give about them here. All i have to say is that their drummer used to be in. the Aquabats and...well we know where he is now.

OK... Blink is extremely successful, and many other bands have created a market saturation of sorts... Making us in turn think that Blink isn't as good as they may be. Their new CD is very good, and if your like me and never watch TV or listen to the radio anymore than you might be able to see it for what it is. My opinion is that there are alot of bands out there, in the punk genre, that see them assome guys capitalizing on a musical fad, and they are, but it's not their fault that todays musical, and lifestyle fashion can be described as pop-punk. It's bands like Good Charlotte that were created with the sole reason to capitalize on this fact and make the labels alot of money. Blink made it on their own merit, if you don't believe me open you mind and search the net for some of their stuff from their days touring SoCal clubs, and other small venues. They have talent, they write thier own songs, and single-handedly invented, if not accidentaly, a whole market niche. Unlike freeskiing, once you go bigtime music is a business, and you have to start making desicions on what your label handlers, and manager tell you. It's funny that Blink would come out with an album that is such a departure from what we're used to, but there's a good reason for it, and if you can't figure that out you might need to stop watching MTV and making your daily trips to Hot Topic... They made a meorable album and it's a credit to them, it's a shame that radio burn out came into play within 2 days of the first single's radio release, but that's not the band's fault. The same thing happened to Nirvana and the entire grunge movement in the early '90's, which for all intents and purpouses, at it's basic level was a beautiful thing, but because the media hyped it so much back then we weren't able to see them for who they were. You young 'ns probably can't remember any of this... But nowadays Kurt Cobain is hailed as one of the best singer/songwriters of all time, there were many tv and radio tributes to his life earlier this month on his 10 year's death anniversary. And Nirvana as one of the greatest bands to pollute the airwaves, let alon all the other mainstream grunge bands like Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, Alice in Chains. Ok, I know I've kind f gone off topic here, but as a music lover I hate hearing people bash a band without looking at a certain group from different perspectives. We're not all destined to succeed as I found out a couple years ago with my band, but we can't hold it against it to thos that do, unless they're totally, unquestionably undeserving.

 
^Nirvana and Kurt Cobain were differnt though. They became popular agaisnt their will almost. Blink 182 revels in their own popularity.

^^^^So, they still 'made it' right? It's not in how they handle their celebrity. In the end Blink is still an exteremely talented band. And just for clarification I was never trying to associate Blink to Nirvana, but was only pointing out that many people's ignorance back then tried to downgrade their music making talent because they were such a success, even though Nirvana themselves didn't want that...
