Sorry if this is already posted somewhere, but I ran a quick search and didn't find anything. I can front 450 off rails and boxes but i cant get the blind 450. Obviously I can do blind 2's, but for some reason when I try to really preload on the box and huk it off I get off axis and end up with my tips in the ground and a mouthful of snow. I guess Im not sure where to look while coming off the end. Any tips would be appreciated.

i had this problem to, i found that when i really tried to grip for blind 4 i would look down at my skis. make sure you are looking straight ahead of you the whole rotation, it will make you stay on axis and probably help you out.

spin a bit harder than a blind 2. come around, look at the landing when you would be in position to land the blind 2 out. add the extra 180 with your eyes on the landing. at least that's how i do them.

for me its more about the spin rather the grip, so "think" same grip as blind 2 and then just spin as fast as possible and don't worry where you land for the first few if all goes well you will be past blind 2 and near or at 4 then you can worry about spotting your landing IMO

try hitting something that gives you a little more time. Then you can set it the same as a 2 and just keep looking. Once you get the motion down you can speed it up and do it off smaller stuff.

Thanks for the advice and the quick replies. I think Im looking through my feet at the ground, ill try looking straight and hopefully that will help.

i kinda had the same problem. im guessing you grind left foot forward and spin left making front 4s easy? what will help alot is getting better at unnaty spining. working on spinning both ways will provide a good base and control for spining out of those boxes and will make getting 6s out both ways easier because you used to the rotations. it helped with me, try it and see if it works

Might wanna try dropping your pants down about 3.7 inches, which will force you to rock a slightly wider stance. This way you can grip the rail a little more.

Although...how much help can I be because I can't blind 450 off shit.

i'm fairly confident i understand your issue. It's easy to blind two cause you can just torque it around using your shoulders, and front 4 is easy cause it's alot easier to pretzel that way. try working on like a blnid 2 but instead of bringing your tips over the rail, try to bring your front foot tip underneat the rail? it's gunna set you up for the right pretzel

make sure to keep your head up and your shoulders parralell, otherwise you'll drift off axis (in a bad way). As for the spot, keep it just like the blind 270 but twist your legs around for the extra 180. You might need a bigger drop off the rail if you're having trouble getting it around

if right foot forward, grip left edge of box/rail with front foot, inside edge of ski. Grip, spin a 2, keep rotating and spot the landing switch at 4

I like to think I'm doing a 540 of the jump. so when i land on the rail my top half is still spinning, so when i get to the end i just hop and my feet follow. the last 180 is just a twist of the hips
