any tips on blind 270s off downrails. on normal rails its easy........but i find it harder and harder the steeper the rail is.....so any tips on technique etc.?

and yes i did make another thread but that was more to do with phobia, and havnt really got any tips on a technical level, incase your wondering.

this is what i usually do to learn stuff....

try it...

eat shit....

study...

learn...

try again...

repeat if necessary....

its a very simple method that works quite well... let me know how it works out for you...

however with the right advice you can learn more efficiently, which is what i wanted to do. if i was just going to learn it through trial and error i wouldnt have to make a thread. just wanted to see if anyone out there has some valuable advice that would help me.....and yours is unfortunately not.

I'm not sure what time it is where you are... but in a lot of North America people are asleep, or about to go to sleep. If you wait until tomorrow morning you might get some more technically helpful replies.

You have to wait until the very end to do anything. When you approach the end, look uphill (I use the rail I am on for reference) and tweak your feet to prevent you from spinning on the rail. At the end of the rail, pop hard and continue the spin (the process of looking uphill and continuing the spin should be one movement). The extra pop is so you don't spin your noses into the rail, but you may not have to depending on the setup. After you do it once you can play around with varying degrees of pop and winding-up to make it clean.

if you slide right foot forward take your right ski and push your inside edge on the left side of the rail about half way down the rail and you should actually pop a little early like your doing a switch up so you have more time considering your going down adn wont have much time comming off the rail.

Pretty similar to doing a blind 270 from a flat rail, except you have to lean it forward a bit.  Make sure yo u stay on the same plane (at the same angle) as the rail or else you will catch your tips.  Depend on the landing, you may have to do it quicker since you are heading down towards the ground.  Make sure you pop and get a good spin.  It is also a harder mental game since you are often going faster.  Mostly, it's just about getting mad and doing it...
