I LUV THE VALLEY OHHHHH!!!!!!!! xiu xiu is pretty much the coolest band ever. don't hate on the song, it's what's hot.
 
ya, to be cool you have to wear the biggest size clothes possible, with a 59/50 hat. hey i saw an article for you guys the other day, jay z has some rocawear out, you all should rock it on the slopes.

the fact of the matter is, blake nyman has a style that is too intellectually advanced for any of you to appreciate. not only that, but he has talent that far surpasses me, no i'm not very good, but most of you on this website. you show me a video that has that pristine of skiing and i'll probably appreciate it, but not as much as this video. it is well edited, interesting, and artistic. to top it off, he isn't wearing gangsta steeze, which automatically makes me have more respect for him, do you know why??? think about it, i know it's hard for some of you. because he doesn't follow the crowd, he does what he wants to do and that's have fun skiing, nomatter what everyone else is doing. it's people like him that make skiing more interesting, if everyone was the same with the same clothes same style of skiing same edits and same songs in their videos, this would be a very boring sport.

Skiing is rad either way, I just hope that everyone will start to be more "open armed" to new styles and new mentality, the way snowboarding is. Rather than insulting it and bashing it we should embrace it for what it is...something fresh.

Blake is not emo, nor is his ski sponsor, Surface. As a matter of fact, Blake is sort of a hippy dirtbag, vagabond kid if anything...a soul skier 110% - that kid lives, eats and breathes skiing. And as more of you get to know him you will realize he is marching to the beat of his own drum and having the time of his life.

Oh, and I like Xiu Xiu
 
why does everyone hate tight pants???? what the fuck it has nothing to do with his skiing ability.

some of the shots in there probably didnt need to be, but 90% of it was awesome footage, editing was sick, and the song was decent, but not the best.
 
Its great to see this thread still getting love....Blake is Great...talk to him the next time you see him...or just watch some fun skiing.
 
i have no idea what that song is... but i almost like that edit more than the xiu xiu one. 8mm is so hot right now.
 
you guys even talking about this proves how fucked up skiing is right now. we need to go back to having FUN, not trying to get on oakley by the time you are 14.
 
holy shit the 2004-05 edit is just as good. Blake is fuckin god. the originality/style is sooo refreshing/mellow. its rediculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I understand trying to be "artistic" and maybe do something different for an edit, but some of those shots were so distorted and blurred out I couldn't even see what he was doing.
 
i don't usually like to get in these gay arguments but blake is an OG. why would he jack some no-name skier's style. what style? nobody is gonna jack your style cause skiers like you with segments like yours are a dime a dozen. you think a few shifties make you different? you think people commenting about his shifties is what makes him different? it's the way he shifts the shifty love. you got no apparent style. you must be pissed with all these "copycats" snaking your "style:" all the segments with gangsta rap, spinning onto rails, and jumping, a shifty here and a shifty there. who can't? maybe you should pull your head out and check his seggy. it's perverted. everything about it is blake style. blake would ski circles- shifty circles- around you. don't think so? bet you were pissed when they invited blake to the jon olssen invitaional instead of you last year, weren't you? wanker. wah wah watidew!
