well i got nothin against skateboarding cause i used to do it but then i just started blading cause it was kinda like skiing on rails, only not...and i just got tired of sk8ing
 
skating .. skated for 5 years.. ive been skating since before i started freeskiing, and skating is the most versatile sport out there
 
i went to ubc this weekend, it made me wish i skateboarded or bladed, cause there's so much rail potential there that it's rediculous.
 
blading takes no talent?

have u watched the 3rd top video (vibralux) ... watch it and tell me they have no talent... skaters couldnt do any of the things they do

woo for skating!!!! getting a new park finsihed this summer...... biggest skate plaza in Canada... not too sure about North America thohg....BUT THERES GOING TO BE SOOOO MANY DEMOS!!!
 
i rollerblade, its so much fun. skateboardings cool. but skateboarders who talk shit about rollerblading are just ignorant. they dont know any better, and just cuz theyre friends talk shit, they hop on the wagon and talk shit too. even now most skateboarders i know are all cool with rollerbladers, and everyone gives each other props
 
i love blading, but i have mad respect for skating. skating is hard as balls, not that inlining isnt. i do both when i have the chance, but im way better at blading.
 
i skate and ithink its sick, but watch the mr murda video in matt walker's video section, that shit is insane
 
roller blading is sick they like spin and twirl down rails and do little foot bunny hops on kinks. some times they jump down stairs and do 180s and like hey, they couldnt do that on shoes.

but these arent ordinary shoes

they have wheels on them

and so called "grinder U's"

i skate just to get around and i deff think its cooler but i just started blading and the learning curve because im a skier is really big like my 3'd or 4'th time on blades i can already skate the querter pipe not to imppresive but that took me weeks on a board
 
u kids need a mind of your own, you would all blade but it would hurt your ego if somone give u shit for it. skate on if your good, but if you suck ass and buy out CCS then quit. rollerbladings more practical for skiers any way i dont care what u say. skateboardings played out anyway...
 
i've been skating most of my life and absolutely love it, even more than skiing sometimes, i'd say they're about even in my mind. However i have no beef with bladers, i think what they can do and where they're going is pretty insane, it's just not my bag yo

but seriously, i just think it doesnt look as dank as skiing. It just looks like some kids tripping and pracning around on his or her sneakers. I know that some people are incredibly talented, but form someone who doesnt blade, it doesnt look at sweet

BUt i do 100% respect any decent to good blader
 
blading is better cause they actually do long rails all skaters do is nic rails they dont do anything long that like 10 feet skaters do so much cooler stuff
 
the difficulty in skating is just more, and it actually requires you to practice and gain foot control.

The boards not attached to your foot. BLading is too much like walking. I could just and do a 360 on shoes, and so i could do one on blades...
 
why does it matter? they are 2 different sports. and everybody that says blading is easy-what about skiing? we have at least 2 extra feet in front of and behind your feet, which makes it quite abit easyer to land. im not saying skiing is easy, but calling blading gay and skiing cool in the same sentence doesnt make sense to me.
 
uh.h..idk wat a dfd is.. but im sure i cud do a 450 degree rotation, landing sideways on whatever that is...

and im not saying its the same as shoes.. but the fact that its soo similar makes it "les cool" i belive...
