ok, this was brought up in the mick nick post: how many of you are/were skiboarders before you switched to newschool skiing, and what percent of the newschool community were skiboarder first.

i skiboarded for a season. it feels so good to get it off of my chest. anyways, long story short, after i started doing 360s on flat ground with those little laminated poopchips, i decieded to get some skis my height.

THE SPRINKLER: get butt naked and then do a 1260 while taking a piss, i expect this trick to win many comps this coming season.
 
I have also skis and vowe to never touch a snollerblade. A tons of kids this weekend were buying them this weekend. It made me sad, all the skis were still there but the snollerblades were sold out. This is going to be one crazy year. I think the whole snollerblade thing just made it to indiana.

 
I've been offered to try skiboarding twice... It took all but a second for them to be offended by my uncontrollable laughter! Never will I strap on a pair of those loser boards!

Where I live, there are five ski resorts within 10 kilometers of my house. Everybody who lives here, whether they're rich or poor, skis all the time. In the winter, skiing's a way of life. i tried it for one day when i was 8 and i liked it, but i was a fag then, then one day last season i broke the tip off my ski and the next weekend i had no choice but to use skiboards, halfway through the first run i purposley hit a tree

Hey, after you take a crap and wipe your butt and then go to wash your hands, do you guys turn on the faucet with your wipe hand or the other one?

no, i dont think that would work, there would be too many riots, plus there would be no athletes cause they would all get impaled from hurled ski poles at the qualifiers

i did it for a day in 2000, it taught me to 360 but that was it. the sport is over but have ago so you can really bag it out.

I have always skied. I wanted to start snowboarding because all my friends did it and skiing got old. My parents urged me to keep on skiing saying that ill like it if i try. Well i did, then Jonny pulled his 360 mute in the olympics. It changed my life seeing that, and now im here. Ive tried skiboards once or twice, and they're okay for the first to runs. After that there's no challenge to them, and it felt weird doing it. So skis it is, and skis it will be

k2pimp: i watched this swiss army skiboardercross shit on Tv (the championships) and it was AWEFULL! It's so funny to watch grown guys with skiboards and no poles do a slopestyle comp much less a skiboarder cross...hahaha, they would like have the cam on them in the middle of their run and do like a double west side mimic with their hands...obviously cause they have nothing better to do with their hands, but it was hilarious watchin these guys...they were like, 'we are so proud we are gonna have 6 total stops on the tour next year' and I was laughin my ass off by then..

I was sick of delamming skis, and it was tough to do any tricks with 200cm skis, so I bought some skiboards. after a season I got bored with them and went back to skiing for good. If anyone still has skiboards, get rid of them now as kids are still willing to part with the coin to get 'em.

 
I started out on skiboards. Rode them for two or three season and got skis at the start of last season. I havn't put them back on since I got my skis.
