What the hell is with these "blackout nights" at NCAA football games lately. CU did it and it was sweet cause we all know what CU is all about, plus they beat goddamn West Virginia.
BUT THEN like Georgia ripped it off the next week and lost, then like 8 other teams did it, and now I just turned on Thursday Night Football and Cincinnati is doing it yet again. It's gotten fucking gay and it's not original any more. Also, isn't the point of it to make the crowd look sort've intimidating? Cincinnati has like 8 people in the stands right now, that's not scary, it just looks like a handful of goth kids with super-long chin beards decided to go to a football game for once.
Bottom line: it was sweet when CU did it and whipped ass on national television, but everyone else needs to fuck off with that shit and just let us turn it into some sort of CU football tradition. Nothing you wear to a football game in Ohio is going to make you and your fellow fans look intimidating, your teams suck right now. The best you can hope to do is wear a sweatshirt without your school logo on it so you don't get depressed when you look in the mirror and remember...you're in Ohio right now.
 
hahahaha what the fuck are you thinking? CU tradidion my ass. its things college and high school teams do all the time. White outs/ everyone wearing red/ or shit like that. Its not an intimidation factor either. when you play on a field or any thing with thousands of people moving around in white or black it can get distracting. Your trying to act like colorado started this shit, the highschool across town from me did this last year at a hockey game and had about 500 kids in only black.
 
nothing to do with CU. its been a tradition for years at many schools.

and wen Utah did it, it was so much better then CU

And on this note... Cu lost to Florida State... Got RAPED by Texas.. And CHASE DANIAL Pissed In Your Butt!

I was involved in the November 2001 "Blackout" game when CU beat then number 1 Nebraska, 62 to 36. We wore black b/c our alternate jerseys were a black on black combo, so teh fans dressed to match.
 
same, and I had some good stories to tell too.

then when reading his post I thought they put black lights in all the stadium and made it into a blacklight night while the team was playing and was thinking, well that iis dope as hell.

but then when I figured it out, it's nothing special I've done that since High school where'd we white out the competition and now in college where we Red out Penn every year.

it's nothing new man sorry.

now as for the blacklight idea, who else here thinks that would be dope?
