Like making your skis all black, some pros do it when they are riding skis that aren't their sponsor, or don't have a ski sponsor....

I hear you can buy this stuff called spraypaint that will do that for you. It even comes in super xtreme trendy colours like hot pink...and plain black.

use spray paint then use a protective paint coating (also a spray) and put like 7-10 coats of that shit on and it wont scratch unless your really bang em.
