Blackcomb Summer Park

you should be find for line ups at the time, and hopefully the park will be better with all the snow but its not going to be anything great.

Seems like a pretty pointless trip to me. The camps are a different story obviously.

i'm coming may 6th, from PA. it should be worth it then... right? not just for the park, but for everything else it should be decent i hope.

If your coming just to ski the summer park you will be dissapointed. I live never really going up cuz of the lameness. LIke htey said, a couple rails and a jump. But if your coming for other things like biking, lakes, drinking, dirt jumps, dirt skiing, golf, hiking, and patios then you'll be ok. I wouldn't base the entire trip around the summer park though cuz its not really worth it if your coming from further than Vancouver, but Whistler is super sweet in the summer and there's tons of other things to do too.

So yeah, come up.

No theres two chairs above the gondola, but there kind of beside each other one operating one side of the mountain and the other operating the other side of the mountain. One of them also goes a bit lower down. But to get higher than that will only be on weekends, as long as snow permits, and i doubt that youll beable to ski any lower than those two chairs.

it says that both t bars are running... arent they the lifts that will be servicing the highest level park on whistler?

Because it's a weekend.

Monday-friday I think it's just emerald and peak chair or maybe just emerald and the gondola, I don't know.

usually when they have the HL park open on whistler in glacier bowl there, they have the t bars open on the weekdays..but right now, the park is NOT by the t bars...so no need to open them.

There has been no sign of this HL park appearing, annoying since I'm leaving end of this week.

Honestly I've been quite disappointed by WB over the past month. If they bothered to spread the big air jump snow out we would have had a ski out for another week or so. They have been really lazy with the grooming and the park on Whistler is not great. they have a few good setups but all in all, not good. Rant over

I think that last year they just put the HL where the pipe/stompede course was. So maybe they will do that again this year.

Well they are trying to remove the snow from A-line and such in order to open the bike park in a month (or so it says on the bike park website) So they are gunning for no ski out, but bike open.

Ok I suppose thats fair. But generally they have been super lazy with the grooming. And closing Harmony, WTF its bad enough they closed my beloved Blackcomb! It's really put a downer on what has been an awesome season.

the spring park will be the whistler park, beefed up. check out the park updates to get a feeling of what it is.

the park chair is always open, and peak and harmony are open on weekends

all of this information, and most of the other posts are useless and do not relate in any way to the question.

the kid is going to be here from june 10 on, at which time whistler mountain is closed. there are two t bars on the glacier on blackomb, one that services the pub park and another for a few camps. there was one jump, one flat bar, and one c box in the public park last year.. pretty weak, but i managed to have have a lot of fun and work on shit. if you really want to ski it is worth the trip, and you can hang out at some sweet lakes and find teen pussy in the evening.

Maybe next time you could read the whole thread so you dont look like a fool. If you had you would have seen that his question was answered in the first post. I was simply trying to help someone else out who had asked, "i'm coming may 6th, from PA. it should be worth it then... right? not just for the park, but for everything else it should be decent i hope." and i think that I did a pretty darn good job of it. So next time Ill only answer the first guys question so that we can have an other thread on a simillar topic.

Yeah the effort on the park has been a little disappointing on Whistler. I can't believe they didn't open the hits by the top of Emerald after the stompede!! They were all set up and ready to go!!! And even if they aren't going to open those up, they could at least do something with all that snow. It's just sitting there going to waste when they could use it to beef up some stuff in the lower park, or make something new.

This is bullshit!!
