i just talked to the verizon people and they said that if i was going to get one i would need to pan an extra 29.99$ a month to blackbearry, is it true?
 
yes its true. But that includes unlimited email, internet and text messaging, so if you were to get that on another phone it is really not that much more expensive, maybe $10 more a month.
 
i do'nt see why you'd have to pay that. if you only want basic service you can probably get it...definitely do some research on the verizon website, it'd suck to get tricked into paying that much extra
 
it's really not much more. it is $20 for unlimited texting with verizon and for $10 you get internet and email and shit too...not that much more
 
i used to work for tmobile and with blackberrys you need th internet add-on to even send picture messages. I'm almost positive it is the same with verizon. because it has to go through the blackberry server. i think it's worth it though man. blackberry's are made for that. there's no need to have one without it
 
Just don't buy it through Verizon. I got a Treo 650 on ebay and when i activated it Verizon kept asking me if I wantedteh data plan and I told them to get fucked. So now I have a treo with just a regular plan
 
Think of BlackBerrys of having "Instant E-mail" so, it constantley checks the server for more e-mail every 5 seconds or so. If you don't have an unlimited data plan, then your bill would run in the thousands. Just go with a Pocket PC. They are better, and mroe customizable.
 
the reason im looking at the pearl is for the semi full keyboard, and its small. and now that ive read all htis i think im gunna go for that aliasis(sp?) phone
 
Take your old sim-card buy an iphone jailbreak it and instant win, free interwebs and the same phone/text as on your old plan~
 
well ill get the info together gotta get on ups its the blackberry curve though think its a better phone myself
 
Yeah, its definately worth it cause you get unlimited internet and text messaging and its a good phone when its working right.
