i dont think i have ever seen a black telemarker or a good black skier... just an observation

I've heard of a guy.....Nicky Adams i think....that is black and is supposedly pretty damn good. Maybe he's a snowboarder though.

i saw two guys up here in washington, and last year i used to see a few at targhee. and dude you're gonna get reamed out for making a negavite statement about a minority, whether or not it was an honest one. just thought i'd let you know, it makes you seem unexperienced and ignorant.

rode the lift at winter park up with a black telemarker about a month ago.....and the brotherhood of skiers was at copper last week and i rode the bus with a black monoskier

who cares? they're black so what does it make them better or worse skiers? i know they're aren't a lot of black people on ski hills but look back in histroy and figure out why.

i dont have a problem with black people, its just that u dont see a lot of good black skiers, u dont see a lot of good black golfers either, that doesnt meen there arent any

yeah i wasnt being racist just an observation, maybe one day black telemarkers will take over skiing like they did basketball and football all im saying is ive never seen one

yep, i agree guys, there was no racist intent behind that comment, it was simply a comment, and it's true, for whatever reason. And i know you all have thought about it at one point or another, you dont see many black skiiers right now, just like you don't see many good white basketball players right now, or many good white running backs in football, or many good black quarterbacks, or many good black hockey players.

i actually talked to a black guy who used to ski and he said that the reason black people dont ski is because they have weak ankles. At least i think this guy was serious maybe he was just joking around

No black people do not have weak ankles, aand no they don't dislike the cold any more than us. They have different cultural backgrounds, for the majority at least, and it just isnt a part of black culture. Most of us ski because we were brought up doing that. Most black people aren't brough up skiing.

When National Brother of Skiers rolls through my mountain..there are a SHITLOAD of black skiers.. Not that really any of them looked that good, but my mountain was fucking swamped.

Its more like the nat'l brotherhood of gapers. i was at copper last week and there were 100 of black skiers, in neon fag bags and straight skis plowing off the whole mountain.

However, i used to date a black guy who was pretty decent, and i know of another dude i see at copper occasionaly who throws 3s and is good on rails. another sick black skier is kina pinket out of JH.

 
no way switchbitch....i was up there that day and most of them were at least decent.....better than 99% of the texans you see up there

im talking more about newschool skiers i havent seen a black skier go upsiddown or even spin more than a 3 (and the kid who spun a 3 is like 8 and races, BUT he's Adopted) yeah but i was just wondering seems like more black people should be skiing and telemarking they just arent

The dude I was refering to is probobly in his early 20s. Ive only seen him twice, but he threw a nice 3 in low light off of copper's shitty ass jumps, so im sure he has a little more talent to show than that.

And I stand by my comment about the brotherhood. I didn't see any realy good black skiers that day, maybe a few that weren't snowplowing, but the talent level was about on par with a bunch of texans.

there's a low-level pro in Vail who's black, his name is Junior (that's what his friends were calling him, at least), and he's pretty good, but a bit of a hucker.

nicky adams is alright...but for those of you who think that he's a pro rollerblader......you're wrong. he came out of nowhere and won the xgames and then he fell off the face of the earth......he's way out of the rollerblading scene so don't go claiming that he's a sick pro rollerblader when he isn't...get your facts straight.....i did see him in a skimag recently (i think it was SBC but i'm not sure) and he had some rad segs but prorollerblading no more...
