so, what are you guys planning if doing anythign for purchasing shit on friday? I know bestbuy is haveing some laptop package with a printer for like 229 or something. butttt i think im gonna be skiing then instead. i guess ill be waiting for dec 2? or 10th for CYBER MONDAY!!!
 
fuck black friday, their gonna have sales again, and their gonna get more stuff in haha, I can wait and go skiing instead
 
i just look at all the store's catalogs that come with the paper on thursday and decide if there's anything worth going out for

im gonna try and pick one up, gonna get to the store at like 12 30 and take shifts with friends standing in line.... all for a crappy laptop and they have 6 dollar prepaid cell phones, gonna get one of those too...

im hoping to snag a PS3 on friday, i doubt the price will be lower, but i might get some games or somethin thrown in
 
Shibby, black friday is the day after Thanksgiving, when everybody and their mother (and aunt and cousin and...) go Christmas shopping.. There's crazy deals a lot. It's called BLACK cause its the day that the stores are supposed to get pushed out of debt and into the black.. You get?

I'm going skiing, i already got all my christmas presnts/birthday presents and i bought most of them.. I just will get a bunch of money otherwise..

i HATE shopping and i HATE malls. the internet is the way to go!
 
Meh I cheat wherever I can, like rounding up photos of my buddies dog to put in a frame and call that a gift, or pics of us together in our crazy adventures. Also memberships to hiking clubs and stuff are pretty cheap.(AMC)
 
Just have a cool boss who enjoys family and the holidays. Plus I work in a packaging factory so no walk in customers or retail type shopping goes on where I work. I also get 3 weeks paid but now I'm just claiming, I have been there almost 10 years though. ugh
 
I think it's black friday because the extra business helps put business' in the black(which in bus. terms is good) unlike business' in trouble which are in the red.
 
im skiing so i dont have to shop with a fucking million of my closest buddies in manchester...but i just saw a deal that circuit city is doin xbox premium for 249.00 dollars with 2 free games idk how much they usually are but seems like a square deal

I'll be at work from 8-5 doing my usual as any other day. I remember when I worked retail and had to be into work at like 4:30 and didn't get out until 5pm. That sucked.

I would never ever consider going shopping on a day like tomorrow. I do all my x-mas shopping on a weekday morning the week before christmas. It's always dead as the people who would wait 'til then are usually in work themselves.
 
yea im gonna go skiing instead. i thnk i will wait for CYBER MONDAYYYY on dec 10th? i think i said before. but yee opening day tomorrow and hopefully ppl will be shopping and not skiing and well own the mtn.
 
sucks, im gunan be working 1-9 at ski barn tomorrow, but the salo rep is coming in and hooking me up with some spk boots for cheeeeeeeeapppp
 
where are you seeing this? I was going to go to circuit city and get the ps3 with a free wireless controller, but i'd rather do that; however I don't see it in their flyer
 
ll be working at target too. at least at our store we have to refer to it as "green friday" because they think black friday is a racist term or something. im glad to see im not the only freeskier working at target.

ill be buying a PS3 at 5am at circuit city
 
They had them on woot.com for that much and only $5 shipping. Hardly any of the deals are worth it. You can find pretty much the same deals on the net or even better. For example, I just bought a Canon Digital Rebel XTi on ritzcamera.com with 2 lenses for $700 and I get a free photo printer after rebate. Best buy has the XT with 2 lenses for the same price but the camera isnt as good. I think the zoom lens at best buy is better but I would rather not wait in line for hours in the cold just to get an inferior camera.

Plus the Zunes on woot.com were refurbished, which have a LOWER failure per unit rate than brand new ones.

You can generally find the same deals ALL the time online if you dig a little, without the massive hassle and insanity that is "Black Friday"
 
well i went to walmart for the 10 blu rays with an 80gb and they had a terrible selection of movies so i ended up going to circuit city and getting the 40gb ps3 with a free wireless controller
 
i guess they call it black friday meaning the day after thanksgiving being the biggest retail day of the year, but its called "black" friday cuz stores supposedly start turning profits on that day and go out of the red and into the black ink, as they say.
