Yes, the fact is that racism is still there. Perhaps it will help all groups, not just blacks, if they could clearly see their problem. If you show someone a flaw they usualy try to fix it. Ok small example, you have food in your teeth, you maybee don't notice it but others do. noone tells you about it so it just stays there. Then over time you hear people talking about it, then you relize that you have a problem and you look for a solution. now that was only a small expamle. I know shits not that easy. But that is the mentality that I have.

 
my school was mostly black to and I saw problems everyday. the teacher would give special treatment to black students, while white kids got nothing. White children are brought up to be ashamed of their race, we had slaves, we killed the indians, and so on. I don't feel it's right. I'm not saying that those things were right. I'm just saying I want equal treatment. If a black person and a white person both apply for a job with the exact same resume the black person will get hired. It's the law. It sucks.

 
we shold be ashamed of what we did. and if the teacher treated black people differently then she has a problem. i find my mom does the same thing and its dumb. slavery and the indian thing was horrable. and also about the job thing, thats not true. it depends on the perosnt aht was hiring, if they were racist then the white person would get it, and if they were black and racist then the black person would get it, but if they were not and they had the exact same qualifications then they would do more interviews or something. if the person hiring them was being lagit they would not hire them based on there skin color.

black people and white people by law have equal rights. its if you dont hire them because they are black thats it, but if you decide that you liek the person, not because they are white, but because tehya re better, then you shuold hire them. its not illigal to pick a white person from a black person if they are both equallmy matched. also you are using a lot of steriotypes

The thing is, Phrosty, is that there's racism everywhere, and all different types of it. Maybe where you are, whites are discriminated against- but in general, the black man faces more discrimination in more parts of the U.S. than any white dude. And what about Mexican or Latin American immigrants... how about Asians and Indians and Europeans? Everywhere you go someone will be a minority and will be discriminated against out of ignorance. If that's your point, then I agree with it.
