Black Diamond Syncline Poles for Skiing?

They are fairly cheap, can they be used as ski poles, or are they strictly trekking/hiking poles?

Understand some have flexible rubber tips?
 
dood, you can ride with whatever you want. i almost rode with plain sticks off a tree this year but decided to go pole-less. my friend has a pair of poles that he uses and they dont have baskets
