Black Crows

Hello

I am needing help, I am really liking the Black Crow ski range, there are so many that are so similar so can you help

I am an ex racer who is strong and has size so like a ski that is on it.

I am wanting the ski for deep powder, steeps, a little on trail, a little touring

Will put a pair of the new Atomic/Salmon Shit bindings onto

I was thinking the Anima Freebird or Corvus Freebird or Anima or Atris

Will the touring specific skis be to soft/ light for me

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts :)

Recommend the corvus in either stock construction or freebird.

The Atris is a more playful version of the corvus, softer and slightly less aggressive.

I’ve been on the Atris the past 2 seasons and really like them. I ride in the Northwest so the 108 waist works well for me as a one ski quiver (though I’m expanding my quiver this season).

Floatwise in pow I think they work as expected for the width and rocker. I took them 2 short touring trips as well with marker barons, and thought they weren’t too horrible weightwise. You could probably find lighter options in their range.

How big are you? For reference Im 5’11” 185 lbs and went with the 184 which I think were spot on for me. However, I heard they reduced the tail rocker last year slightly to give the skis more contact length, so they may ride slightly longer/more directional than the one I’ve got.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions.

So I am thinking of getting:

Skis: Black Crows Anima

Bindings: Atomic shift

Boots: Dalbello Lupo TI

what do you think of this set up for a big mountain/ powder/ touring ski?

sounds pretty rad. That would be a great setup but possibly look into the corvus freebird depending how much you want to tour vs ski inbounds
