I’m getting ready to Mount some sth2 bindings to a brand new set of 2019 (New old stock) Black Crows Noctas. These are 185 cm. I’m 5’11” 170 lbs. I have the 182 cm Atris mounted at recommended line. Today the tips were diving a lot in 15” of snow. Want to make sure my noctas flaot well for deep days only. I’m a directional skier I don’t do any park stuff or tricks. I prefer to lean forward into the shovels. Where should I mount these?

Recommended?

2 cm back?

other?

thanks

Where is the recommended mount point. I had these exact skis until the middle of last season and I think they were mount a little forward of recommended, maybe 3cm behind center. Is the recommended point -4.5 or 5ish?

Recommended is -6. OP this is a soft fully rocketed pow ski, how much “laying into the shovels” are you planning on doing with a ski like this?

Maybe laying into the shovels wasn’t the right terminology. I would prefer to have neutral or forward stance. I don’t have any need to ski backwards. I’d really like to be able to ski neutral and not lean back and not have my skis nose dive into the pow. Will recommended do that fine you think? Because with my atris 182’s at recommended line I was in the backseat all day in 15”. I can ski neutral or forward in like 10 or so inches. But the 15” I was nose diving with the atris.

Recommend should be perfect. The ski is a lot of fun. I mounted at 3.5 or 4 behind center and it would pivot and slash like nothing but was great in anything softish and would handle any condition. If you want to drive it recommended should be great, I wouldn't go further back. If you want to drive it really hard just trade them for another ski or sell and buy blackops or something

Thanks for the response mystery!
