Bizarre first day back injuries

So as the title says, anybody else out there get their first turns/hits in of the year and had something go wrong with the worst of luck or just totally random fate? Came off the first jib of the season a few days ago and landed tail heavy while washing out a shitty landing back to forwards (pivoting 90 degrees) which like pulled and twisted my calf muscle on my right leg leaving me with super painful shin splints to start the season! totally random because slightly imbalanced/sloppy landings on a normal sized jib was not a problem, ever? I'm sure theres been way more unfortunate mishaps out there though rippin the first turns of the season, makes me lucky to only have a light injury i guess to start the first few weeks on

I got a pretty minor one. But I got blood poisoning in my lag so I have a hard time standing.

(Don't know if it's called blood poisoning, I'm from Sweden)

Early season injury. Decided in a split second to ski between a pair of trees spaced 4 feet apart. Dumb move as the space between was more of a pothole. Ended up ejected out of my left ski in a somersaulting fashion. Right ski stayed on. When I landed on it I twisted my ankle. Now I'm hobbling around on crutches while I wait for the swelling to go down. Could have been worse though... At least I didn't destroy my knee. Broke my golden rule... Don't do anything stupid fast.

Well I was driving up for first day today and got we got hit by another car and now my back is sore.... Does that count

last monday i was trying to get a cleaner 2 on to a downrail at okemo (i already had one filmed but it was sloppy). i wasnt getting it and my attempts were getting worse every time, even falling sometimes. when i was down once, i punched the snow out of frustration. now my hand it broken in 2 places. so a great way to start out the season, hopefully i can ski with a cast.

Had a weird edge catch right before the lift line when I was skiing switch, back slapped and wacked my head, no concussion but freaky and dumb

Broke both wrists sliding a sticky down rail. Parents said no more skiing this season and i cant do park forever Unless i pay the bills Since its not a coached sport.

My friend broke his clavicle 200 feet into his first run of the season. As for me broke my toe piece first run on the first day, 2nd day got a concussion on the second run, and 3rd day broke my heel piece on the 3rd run... It's been rough this season

reasons not to get mad at yourself when you ski. I can say for a fact that I have defiantly done this too, but then you'll get even more upset that you were the one that hurt yourself. now I just try to laugh it off when I fall, and come back to the trick after one or two runs. so far having a better season so far this year when it comes to frustration

also first day back, 3rd run I landed my trick caught an edge and landed on my shoulder funny. that was in the first weekend of November and it still hurts now. but nothing broken :) only had to miss that first week. that sucked a bit

That sucks ass

i broke my collar bone doing a kfed on a dfd rail. Was frustrating because i did it perfectly 3-4 times then i had my friend film me and i caught an edge and landed on my shoulder while my pole went through it.

yup simple switchup ive done countless times left me with a seperayed shoulder, missed my footings, so shit, east finally has a bit of snow

first day back i broke my finger... could have happened any day and not really bizarre but its the only time I've gotten hurt skiing
