Bittorent for Mac

I just got a new mac and im trying to set up bittorrent on it and use isohunt. what is a good torrent program to use for it?

its the only half way decent one for mac, it is just halfway decent though. someone needs to make a good are atleast decent bt program for mac.

I just downloaded this... and I'm trying to figure out how to use it..

I went to a few sites... punktorrents and some other site.. and I understand you download it.. and then it shows up on your desktop... so you drag it into Azureus to download it all the way (?)..I think.. but it doesn't work out for me..

I thought maybe there weren't enough people online to send it through... but I chose one of the top 10 torrents to see if this was the case.. but it still wouldn't download for me.

Do I need another program to change it from a .torrent file.. or a .rar file or whatever.. into somethin else? Where am I going wrong?

Help a brotha out..

I have problems with azureus sometimes...however Ive found a loophole... you save the bt file to desktop, then...instead of dragging it into azureus...open azureus and then go "file" > "open" (or "open torrent" I forget exactly what it says) and eventually it should start. Thats how I have to do it

yes, you have to do file open with azerus. you tell it where to save the actual files and then it starts downloading. sometimes, torrents will take a while to start, but they will.

instead of saving the bittorent file you can just open it with you client.

i just use isohunt for my regular bittorent downloader..i rarely use it tho. ive found better sites for downloading full albums

just copy the link to the torrent file then go file - open location and the link you copied should be right there and click ok. this way you dont get a bunch of torrent files cloging up your desktop

One more question...

I downloaded a movie... its a rar file... now what do I do with it?

I have a powerbook g4 and I imagine I must have some program on here that will convert it.. or maybe I don't need to.... or maybe I need to get another program..?

^rar is like zip. Just extract it. With Azureus all I have to do is double click the torrent and it automatically opens up azureus and starts downloading.

you may need to search google for like "mac rar" or something, but ya, its like a zip, but you may need a program to extract it.

and I tryed tomato torrent. i didnt like it as much, but thats just me.
