bittersweet yesterday

i didnt catch the awards thing, who won what? does anybody have it for skiers/snowboarders? by the way, teddy had one of my favorite tricks of the day, with the underflip/rodeo 5 transfer thingy.

'He got fired? What did he do?'

'He jumped off of the roof again'

As far as the Advanced Skiers Big Air, Mike took first, Spencer (the 10 year old) took second, and that guy in the red that was throwing 900 grabs took third.

For the Intermediate Skier Big Air, Matt Canney took first, I can't remember who took second, and Jerry took third.

I don't have the results for the Under 16 Rails, but for the Over 16 rails it was Kelly in first, Noah in Second, and me (A.J.) in third.

Finally, Kelly won the best trick comp on the Jeenyus rail, but gave his prize to Mike, as he felt Mike did a better job.

that was really fun, the jump was so good. As far as the judging goes i dont know. I know my first flat spin was not inverted at all, and i know both of tyler's rodeos/flatspins were not inverted at all. Brett's first jump was highly inverted, but that was not the one they kicked him out for, they kicked him out for the cork 720, that was also not inverted. Kinda cheap since all of us skied by the rules, and got kicked out of the whole competetion for a single jump, and no offense but Noah Schwander did a completely inverted Switch Rodeo and not only did they not kick him out but that jump qaulified him for the finals.

Enough complaining though, that jump was awsome, it was fun coming down since i hadn't really skied with many of the bittersweet kids yet this year. Hopefully some of you guys can make it to Crystal this weekend, or the Huck Finn comp at Cannonsburg the weekend after that (February 8th)

Yes, I am AJ with the Skogen's, and I'm not quite sure what you mean about me being an asshole, but I would like for you to back that up. Who are you anyways?

Im backin AJ up, hes a pretty cool guy. I havent seen him be an asshole to anyone..... ANyways, yea the judging did seem kind of biased, more towards the locals, but thats what happens in SW mich, everybody know each other. If you kept it clean, it worked out nice, like mike hornbeck did. That 900 tail was INSANE. I wish i had done better, now i know what to train for Cannonsburg in 2 weeks, where theres actuall money up for grabs. See you all there!! By the way, i was riding crappy yellow 1080s white pants, and a blue coat, Hornbeck/Hillbilly was wearing blue pants and a black coat, alot of people i knew there. So far the funnest comp ive ever entered

i ride air heads, and whenever i have dealt with you at all, you were being an ass. you told me i couldnt go up the lift when snowboarders were riding the rail comp, and i had been all day long. you seem to think you run the damn place. later i was at the top for skier rails helping judge and you told me to get off the course, and it was for competitiors only. you just seem like a cocky, self-important type.

'He got fired? What did he do?'

'He jumped off of the roof again'

First off, AJ is one of the nicest guys ive ever met skiing, and definately the nicest guy ive met around bittersweet, no offense to anyone else.

Thanks for the props on that trick guys.

As for cannosnburg though, there isnt prize money, its that Salomon donated $10,000 in prizes, not cash. And $3500, of those prizes will be given to the series winners, so thats $1500, for each weekend, or about $750 for the big air. At the last comp in Alpine Valley in the smaller divisions with less people the winner got a Salomon helmet, and in the bigger divisions the winner got a set of Bindings. I wasnt around for the last skiercross so i dont really know what the prizes were for that. Don't hold me to this but I believe the series winner in each division will get a pair of skis. Also remember its $20 to enter the big air, plus $40 to join USASA which covers the insurance, or $25 for USASA if this is the only comp of theres you are going to compete in. So basically your gonna have to bring A LOT of money. Don't be like Tyler and I at Alpine Valley and not bring enough.

no, i wasnt competing at all. i was the one you told that you were dropping out of the rails though at the top of the lift

'He got fired? What did he do?'

'He jumped off of the roof again'

I do want to say great job everyone. I have the entire Advanced Skier Big Air on tape, and alot of people got away with going inverted, but that was up to the judges.

As far as Line1260, what role did you play in the comp? Why were you hanging all over the judges instead of watching the comp like all of the other spectators? I'm just curious why you thought you had some special priviledge, when everyone else that was there that day didn't. I know that when the snowboarders were riding the rail course, they wouldn't let the skiers on the lift, and I know they had special instructions not to let anybody on the lift who wasn't competing. How did you get on. Did you lie, and tell the lift operator you were in the comp, so he would let you on? I'm just wondering because as a non-competitor you shouldn't have even been past the ropes that had the course closed off. I'm sorry if you thought I was an ass, but all I can remember saying to you was when I told you that they weren't letting skiers on the lift. That was because the snowboard comp was going on in the rail area, and we had just been denied a ride up, and again when we were about to run the skier rails comp, when I told you that the course was only for competitors. I do believe you can have your own opinion, and if think I'm an asshole, then so be it, but I think you need to look at the situation a little more closely before accusing someone bluntly being an asshole. I was really confused when I saw that post, and would like an appology.

-A.J.

well, who were you to tell me that? and i felt i did have special priveleges that other people didnt, because zack and the other judges asked me to help them out. i had been riding the lift for the whole snowboard rail comp, and kept on after you told me i couldnt

Line1260, i have 2 qustions for you.....

1)if you ride head airs, why is your name line1260?????

2)Im pretty sure your not named brett, b/c hes the only kid i know with head airs at BS, and hes cool

Teddy,

yea im the one with the chrome skogens, but they busted, so i was riding yellow 1080s that were too small for me, hopefully ill get brand new Skogens....but thats for line to decide...

im not brett, and i dont ski bittersweet much. i had the 00-01 1260s when i made this name, but then an edge ripped off

'He got fired? What did he do?'

'He jumped off of the roof again'

It could be Spanky-B (a.k.a. Eric Rawbutt) he has head airs, listens to the Pogues, can be a cocky little asshole, and has a very hot mom... all the pieces fit... could it be?

yeah i'm the pretty sure im the brett your talking about cuz i ski at BS alot and hang out with AJ and all them alot
