Everybody keeps saying that this is the best file sharing thing out there. So how the hell do I get it to go faster than 3kb/s??? I refuse to wait a week to download this crap, even if it IS free.

yes look at your # of downloaders. also you may have a firewall blocker so you will need to open up the port for it so you can download. go to a website to find out how to do so

 
yar, its all about unblocking ports and downloading files from 60 people at once. zoom like a flaming purple grape on speed and crack being dragged behind a car that goes fast/

 
i have a bit Torrent but no idea where to download files for free supernova.org wants like $34 for a lifetime membership i just don't want to pay.

it also depends on what torrent program you are using to download. some programs work real slow and otherones work real fast for some reason.

i thought the whole point of bit torrent was that it had some kind of encryption so you couldnt get your ip traced. thats what one of my friends was telling me, ive never used it so i wouldnt know.

ive read that it is even easier for someone to find your ip through bit torrent. i dont give a fuck tho. i mostly use it to download southpark and shit cause i dont have a tv. bit torrent is super good for newly released files - i can download the southpark episode before it even airs here

Yeah I was downloading a movie and about 200k got shoared while it was downloading, and I got an email from CU Boulder saying that MGM contacted them and my network connections would be cut off. I ended up having a meeting with some lady, reformatting, signing a promise never to share another thing and if I did legal action would be brought against me...and then she said DON'T USE BITTORRENT anymore, so I don't.
