So now there is gonna be some show on network TV, I forget what channel. Who here is stockpiling shit already? I'm not worried yet but I havent heard anything about any government funding for vaccine research. Fuck government they are probably gonna get us all killed because they wont give anybody the money or incentives to come up with a vaccine. I say we all start trying to kill off the whole bird population, whos with me?

Personally, I think this is a big fucking joke. It is physically impossible for a virus to completely wipe out humanity. First of all quarantine will save lives and one disease can't affect everyone in the world. The DNA traiting proves it genetically impossible for humans to all be affected by one disease.

While an epidemic is inevitable, I don't think the disease should blown up to such a proportion as the media "hype". I mean let's face it, end of the world stories sell like hotcakes on a cold day.

I dont think they should make a show on it, it will just make people scared. When I first saw the ad for it on ABC I thpught it was for unknown super virus with all their serious talk of death and chaos. Towards the end I was thinking it could be about the bird flu and i was yelling "This better not be about bird flu, people are going to get freaked out." As soon as my mom got over me yelling for 'no reason' they said the title, which I cant recall but had bird flu included in the name.

nah bubonic plague is still out there, but a vast majority of us have adapted an immunity to it. pandemic scares the shit out of me, i hope we've got lots of the top researchers in the world working on this.
