bird flu has ALWAYS been in canada. The only think they've found (as i've heard so far) is a bird with an H5 type flu virus. This has always been in north america. The 'scary' virus is the H5N1 subtype. As far as i've heard (nothing new on the cbc) it probably isn't this strain.

Exactly... there are less dangerous versions of the virus that almost all birds have. The H5N1 is really rare.
