Biology/Ecology question

allright so I'm writing a pretty big lab report on the lakes of my area and one result in particular is bugging me. The norms for oxygen dissolved in the water are 4 to 8 mg/L , but for a certain lake I got 13 mg/L which is quite high and the lake is also supposed to be fairly poluted shouldnt it be the opposite ? and also, what does a really high oxygen concentration mean? thank you

hmm.

Are you sure you tested right?
What kind of pollutants are in the lake?
How deep is the lake?
How much sun does it get?
Temp?
- Temp plays a huge roll. If water is coming from a mountain spring, it will be very cold, allowing for more water.
Alge or plant life?
Is the water rough as to increase surface area?
