Bio vs. Rodeo Debate.

i would consider that a rodeo 7. thats just me.

and i enjoyed that edit. got some solid tricks in there. esp the switch cork 7

Rodeo = Backwards and upsidedown

Bio= Forward and sideways

Sounds easy to confuse to me......

By the way, flatspins arent thrown forward

I throw my bio 5's really similarly to my rodeo 5's. You throw rodeo like an off axis lincoln 180 (at least thats how i was taught to send them and still suggest). The bio is less vertical, that is you feet are more at chest level of a little bit lower. The center of your rotation is more in the hips, like your spinning on your ass, piviting instead of twisting. I think those two are the most similar between the two categories.

also if u have trouble watch a bio 12's speed vs a rodeo 12's speed. you will notice that bios are a lot faster rotation right away and rodeos start off slower. this is because you have to intially throw a bio a lot harder.

damn ...

Flatspin - a kangooroo is a flat 3 and a flat 5 (everybody knows what a kangooroo is ...)

Misty - No problem with that one

RODEO !!! - how do people doesn't what a rodeo is ... rodeo DOES NOT get inverted, it's a spin where you lean backwards for your first 180 and get back straight at 540, so a rodeo 9, the last 360 is a regular 360.

BEST EXAMPLE OF A RODEO 5 : WALLISCH 1:48, it's slowmo so look at it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jrcf0Th886w

bios : a cork but with the head facing the landing. Those 7 simon dumont always does are bios to me too, but this is another debate

^i know everyone has their own opinion on tricks, but fahey did it all justice (or for rodeos at least)

rodeo 5-7 is a straight up licoln loop with a spin (or at least the skier goes completely inverted) any rodeo any more than 7 so 9-12 is really really hard to actually get the full invert, and ends up flipping off or to the side.
