What is a bio spin exactly. It looks to me like its a corked spin so why the difrent name? Also whats a dinner roll, i know Mosley does them but i dont see the diffrence between them and a rodeo. Why so many names?

The bio spin is just a little off axis from a normal spin. A clip of it at skiingmotion.com explains more.

Words is good, choose them proper.

a bio is an off-axis spin, and a dinner roll is just a rodeo, but mosely was doin so many dinner rolls he had to make anothewr name

a dinner role is not a rodeo. Its is going forward like a flatspin. I would call them flats spins or maybe lincoln loop. Some people would call it a skodeo.

a dinner role is still a rodeo - so is a lincoln 180. it is just a little variation on the same trick.

as for a bio spin.... I think that is an over nameing too. It looks like a cork to me.

Look at skiing motion, they show a good flat spin 540 and 720 by JF 'the man ' Cusson.

They are basically flat loop to spin...

theyre rodeos, but people change the name of them when someone does em on a QP, like misty and mctwist...one of em is just on a QP or halfpipe

Okay, the way I get it from the athletes is this: a flat spin is as the name describes - flat on your back. If you start the same way - by opening your l or r shoulder back and to the side and also bringing your feet up and to the side - but end up a bit more inverted, it is a rodeo. If you start by dropping your r or l shoulder straght towards the ground and go fully inverted as you do the 180, that is a Lincoln Loop 180. All of them can be done to different rotations and they are all very similar. Text book style for flats is Cusson - sawhim doing flat 9's at Hood this summer. Rodeo is Skogen, which can also be called a Skodeo if you so desire. Clint Fiala does Lincoln 180s and did a trick tip that described the difference between that and a rodeo - I believe that was the second issue of FREEZE last year.

Flat spin 360 are so sick, you need more air to do them then you need to do flat spin 720...

a flat spin 360 is just a fucked up lincoln loop/ back flip thing.

K. they are all still rodeo variations.... yea, there are differences. a flat spin is like a rodeo , but you rotate a 90 first, and say if you are spining to the right, you 90 into it, then throw a back flip on your left side, then spin out at the end - as aposed to doing a lincoln loop on your back.... they are all basicly the same. and a loncoln loop 180 is just a more inverted rodeo.... for a good flat spin, watch skogan do a rodeo where he spins to the right... - talented rodeoer - you will see the 90 to sideways backflip to spin out. but the point is that it is stupid to give all these tricks different names.... why not just call them all rodeos, and coment on certain styles of the trick.... cuz that is what they are.... diferent people puting different style into the same trick. later

Like dave said, a flatspin is just the same as a rodeo, but you spin very early in it so rather than a lincoln type flip you are doing a backflip on your side. yup. bio is more off to the side and less corked like described above too......I think?

A bio is a barely off axis 5. If you invert a bio too much, it becomes a misty. The difference between a bio and a cork is that in a bio, you throw your body forwards(like a misty), and in a cork you throw your body back (like a D-spin)

wen i talked to cr he was sayin that it was almost like a corked spin only you start up right then after like a rotation you kick out your legs and throw it corked plus a corked spin you throw back and a bio spin you throw foward
