I'm studying for this bio test and there are some questions on gel electrophoresis. I'm completely stumped and can't find anything to help me out. If anyone can answer any of these questions I would really appreciate it.

#1

12----- A
11----- G
10----- A
9 ----- T
8 ----- G
7 ----- C
6 ----- C
5 ----- T
4 ----- C
3 ----- A
2 ----- T

The diagram represents the data for the sequence of a small stretch of DNA. Each band is numbered and flourescence indicated the presence of the base assigned on the right. The positive electrode for the electrophoresis was at the top. Which of the following is the sequence of molecules in band 9?

a) 3'GTACTCCGTAGA5' b) 5'primerGTACTCCGT3' c) 5'primerAGAT3' d) 5'AGAT3'

#2 In the gel in the above diagram, which DNA fragments would include a dideoxynucleotide only at one end?

a) all of the fragments b) none of the fragments c) the fragment that runs fastest

d) the fragment that runs slowest e) about 1/4 of the fragments

#3 If, instead of the normal mixture used in the two questions above, the tube for the sequencing reaction had as nucleotides only ddATP, dCTP, dGTP, and dTTP (but no dATP), the same template DNA, and all other reagents needed for sequencing, which bands would be seen after gel electrophoresis of the products of this reaction?

a) all bands b) only band 12 c) only band 3 d) bands 3, 10, 12

Thanks guys. I was able to figure out the last two questions before I took the test today so it worked out but I really appreciate the help anyways. +Karma for sure
