Bindings

What are some really good light terrain park bindings for more towards the advanced side. I am 116lbs and a advanced skier for terrain park. Was thinking about the fks 120/140s. But whats a good binding but not to expensive? And what din would I need since I am more of an agressive skier?

I go with axials cuz if i break something i just rifle through the spare parts box at a ski shop to find what i need.

But if you get the fks you wont have to deal with the binding breaking because they would be bombproof. But how good are the rossignol axial bindings for park? and which binding would be better for me?

I do by into the hype around fks. rode them for a full season now and they never failed on me. take a beating and hold up extremely well. i would reccomend fks 120 to op cause of your weight

nothing is bomb proof.

Axials are just fine for park. the fks dont go full metal till 18 i think. so youre dealing with the same materials. I personally also do not buy into the hype around the fks.

IMO axials give you best bang for your bucks

Like i do not really want to spend that much money just on bindings but how heavy are the fks and how much better are the fks's to the axials?

dude they're bindings. Not going to be that different model to model. All weigh roughly the same. Get a cheap pair that will last and your fine. I'm sure the extra pound or 2 you save on a lighter pair won't help you much.

I know one of my friends had the axials last season and he said they were alright, but he has the fks now and says that he notices that they are so much more sturdy and well built. The axials will honestly be fine since you're such a light guy, but paying 200$ for the fks 120 is a fine deal imo

fks > axials

also check out the sth 2 13

i dont plan on ever buying axials again, (mine are basically trashed) as there are just other bindings out there that are better.

list of bindings that would be good

fks 140/120

sth 2 13

attack 13 (super light, cheap, and reliable)

and head mojo 15

used all of these except the mojo 15, and have seen nothing but good reviews for the mojo

For terrain park riding I wouldn't be worried so much about the binding physically breaking on you, if you buy from any of the companies already mentioned the binding will hold up fine and if it doesn't that means it's probably defective and you'll be able to get it replaced.

Do some research on which binding is the safest, that's what you're ultimately paying for; I haven't ridden the axial or the fks but just from a quick google search the fks appears to give you a cleaner release especially under torsional stress. The axial, which is a race binding will likely respond differently to torsional stress to allow for high speed race turns on edge.

Marker Griffin, FKS/Pivot 120, or Any Salomon/Atomic binding with your din range.

the fks was designed as a race binding

Was either thinking of getting the look px 12's or the axial bindings which one is light and just over better im more of an agressive advanced skier?

i believe the px12 and the axial2 120 are the same binding, just rebranded

Really? Didn't know that so if I got one or the other there would be no difference but there has to he something different about the 2?

They are the exact thing. Not sure if rossignol owns look now, but Look has always made all of rossignols bindings. For example. A shop may try to sell you a pair of FKS 140's over a Pair of Pivot 140's, just because they cost more, but there really is no difference. At that point, it all comes down to which you think looks cooler and which costs less.

Im either thinking of getting the tyrolia attack 13s or the sth2 13s but i found each other 2 bindings for 200 so which one would be better to get for park? I could not find any other low prices for both of the ski

You can get last years axial for $130 on evo.com cant really beat that price for what you're getting for a brand new binding, if I were you thats what i would go for.
