Bindings

I just bought a pair of alpha 1's and I don't really know shit about bindings. I have ruled out Salomon 14's cause there heavy (the bindings i had b4). I ride 80 % park 20 % all mtn. I have heard a lot of good things about pivot but don't know which model as well as the Add that used to be on NS about FKS bindings or something. any and all recommendations will be appreciated.
 
If you think Salomon STH 14s are heavy you're going to have a VERY hard time finding a decent park binding...FKSs are heavier than STHs...as are most other good park bindings. In fact, I can't really think of a good binding that's lighter (maybe Griffons). Other lighter bindings will be low DIN (under 12) and will most likely break on you.
 
And weight matters because....?

Oh wait, it doesn't since its all directly under your foot. Heavy means strong cause its got lots of metal parts.
