Bindings

Hey i've been looking for awhile now for some bindings. I've seen a few on here that I am interested in. Mainly looking at the STH 14, Rossi Axial 14 Race bindings, Look pivot 12s, and PX 12s. Can someone help me determine what is the main difference between these bindings? I'm 5'10" , 210lbs. Aggressive skier mostly tree and powder skiing with smaller drops (10-20 ft) Big kickers are cool. No park jumps yet, but hoping to progess there. Thanks,

Well, the Rossi and Look bindings are essentially the same

The Rossi Axial 14 and Look Pivot 12 are the same bindings. Both have turntable heels, which many skiers on here and at TGR and racers prefer. However, the Rossi's DIN goes up to 14, where as the Look only goes up to 12.

The Look PX 12's are the same thing as the Rossi Axial 2 120 bindings, which weren't on your list but I threw them in there. In this case, buy whichever is cheaper.

And for the STH, I can't speak for because I have no experience with them.

thanks for the input. are race bindings typically made outta metal making them heavier but more durable?

well I picked up a pair of the Rossi Axial 14s from a fellow NSer. The bindings aren't wide enough, is there a proper way to bend them? Do you heat them and straighten them out a little bit and then back down, or do you just bend them out? Also, do ski shops bend them or is that something I'd have to do before I bring them in to get mounted.

All I can say about the PX's is that they break easily. I've broke the tracks on both of mine this year but Rossi is legit about warranties.

bump... need help bending bindings to fit ski. I got the Rossi Axial 14s mounting on 1080 foils. I've seen some diagrams for other bindings, anybody dealt with this binding before?
