Bindings

I have pair of armada arv 185. I really don't know what kind of bindings i should get but i did see a thread where everyone suggested marker jesters just wondering if theres more options that are more affordable. I don't know what the din settings were on my last pair of skis but i think it was the highest and it still prematurely ejaculated.

I'm 6'3", 160lbs, and I ski pretty much anywhere from the park to pow to big mountain.

what din settings should i use if i were to go with the jesters. and how long would they last? (how many pairs of skis)

The din is determined by your weight and skiing ability, for example, for me i'm 5'9" 150 lbs, a type 1 setting for me is 5, type 2 is 6.5, and type 3 is 8, no one is going to know what you should set your dins at, its all about your own abilities

If you are talking about the standard 914 (i.e. not the LAB model with the metal 916ish heel) - as far as i can remember the 914 and 912 are the same with a different spring, plastic toe = not that durable at all.. I thought the distinction of the s9xx series was between the 914 and 916..the 916 and the 914 LAB is where there are some dramatic differences.

ok. i dont like salomon bindings cause thats what i had last time, i looked around and saw that the look px15 and marker jesters were good. and if its worth it ill spend the money.

Look into some head mojo 15s. Solid binding. there are some threads on them if you search them. They are fairly light too. Not as light as jesters but lighter than the look/rossi bindings. very affordable also. I got a brand new pair for 175 shipped.

agreed on the mojos - probably one of the most solid non race stock bindings out there..the ONLY bad thing i have heard is occasionally about the brakes, but thats certainly minimal.

Head also have excellent warranty.
