Bindings...

I'm 5'8" 135 lbs about, maybe a little less. I'm looking for some bindings to mount very close to center mount on some boone skis, ones that won't break while going switch, and ones that aren't super expensive. my price range is $150-$200...not looking to buy on NS, just need advice.

I'm looking at the S14 or some of the Look pivot bindings. I don't really know much about bindings at all, so you guys need to help me out!

I will be buying within 2 weeks. Thanks.

i highly recommend any of the look px series and many shops still have sets from last year. this is also rossignol, dynastar, and roxy if you want some ballin pink bindings.

if you can get your hands on a Pivot binding of some sort, those would be a good option. that being Rossi FKS 120, Look Race 12, Pivot 12, Axial 12, Axial 14 etc. they fks' have a 360 degree heel, while the Pivot's only have a pivot heel but they do basically the same thing, which is keep you from dangerously pre-releasing which in turn saves your knees. I live by these bindings. there is a whole thread on them somewhere describing the features of all the pivot bindings. i cant seem to find it right now. they only downside to these bindings is their weight. they are a little bit on the heavy side, but for the protection i can deal with that.

another option would be the salomon sth 12. salomon seems to have upgraded their bindings with the introduction of the sth's and they are quite light. the 16s a straight bomb proof too but at your weight you dont need a 16 din binding.

Jesters are another option, or this years 12 din model of the jester, i forget what its called

Hey, what's the waist width of the Boone skis that you're trying to throw these on? I ask, because you could get a set of PX 12 Racing bindings that don't have any lifter, they use the stock Look toe-piece, but have the beefier race heel. The problem is that it's wicked hard to find the wide brake for the race heel, but you could always have the brakes bent. $119 is under your price range though.

There are versions that come with the full race toe, heel, and a wide brake, but you're looking at a DIN of 8-15 and a price tag around $190.

Hope this helps.

yeah dude under is fine too. I need the extra discount, like I can get discounts already but if you can find something cheaper it'd be sick

I have a feeling I will be getting the look px12 jibs, they have the pivot tech in the heel part from what I've seen. I will trying to get them for around $100.

Thanks for the help.
