Bindings with Afterbangs

So by the end of the year I'm going to buy some afterbangs. They are what I'm looking for in a ski, me being a rail rat, I spend 80% of my time on rails. Anyways, I'm not sure what kind of bindings I should get for them. Jesters are always a favorite on NS, but are they worth it? Another one is the pivot, sth16 blah blah. What is really worth me spending money on? What is really worth it? +K for the help!!

Jesters are big fat nice burly findings that are the lightest out their oddly enough. Or one of the lightest.

I like mine, and I like my Griffon's too. But I would prefer the Jesters just because my Jesters are set at 7 and they don't eject as easy as my Griffon's do INNNNN MY opinion.

Just for gods sake don't put on a pair of PX12's or some shit like that.
If I were you I would invest in some nice binders. Jesters are probably your best bet. Easy to find (unlike pivots) and much more reliable/release more consistently than the Salomon or the Tyrolia series.

I've got Abangs with griffons, they are good enough! Never had a problem with the bindings or something like that, or that it has ejected fast, they eject at the time they should. Love'em

Griffons/Jesters are sick, super light, and very little swing weight at all. The one thing I dont like about them is they wear out fast, they are all plastic, but that may be covered by warrenty? I dont know. But if you arnt planning on keeping your bindings long or buying a new pair next year what I would do is buy the Griffons or Jesters, but if you want a long lasting binding that can take some hard abuse, I would look into the Pivot/FKS, or maybe the deadbolt? Goodluck

I have mojo 12 on my new t-halls and they are perfect so far and very light so they are great for rails. If you want a binding that is made more out of metal you could always go with mojo 15 a hear they are great.

I'll vouch for whatever binding last for me, and they have. Haven't had any kind of problems with them since the day I got them. (knock on wood)

Why would he put anything more than a $50 used binding on a rail ski that is going to be torn to shreds.

1) The binding will long outlast the ski.
2) $50 used binding will still equal a beat to hell PX series binding, which I hate.
The better question is why would you mount a P.O.S low din binding on a brand new ski? Regardless of what the skis intended use is.

All you need to slide rails is something that will serve the job of attaching your boot to the ski. Not a 16 DIN binding that he doesn't need. And those skis aren't going to be new long as a rail ski.

hmm alright well thanks for the help, I will have to figure out what I want to do and if I want to save up the money for an expensive bindings.

I run my park skis at between 10 and 11. I wouldn't want to run a 12 din binding that close to it's maximum.
But that's just me.

first off. how much do you weigh? (or maybe i missed it?)

like someone said IDK if i would put $300 bindings on cheap skis like Afterbangs. but if you want to go that route, my recommendation would be the new FKS (pivot) 14s. (the turn table heel combined with its relativly light weight for a higher performance binding make the series my favorite i have ever skied on)

if you want to watch TD and deal hunt i bet you will be able to snag a pair of Rossi SAS 14s. ( a pretty bomber binding) i like mine, its not turn table like the FKS's, but overall ive had good luck with mine. i love the metal construction, and just the overall quality feel that the binding has.

i would stay away from the PX12s. (but thats just me, plastic like that = no win)

both of these bindings have a DIN range that you would probably fall into. as apposed to a PXXL18, FKS 185, etc. basically i think if you are asking about bindings on NS then you have NO business riding either one of these bindings.

I run mine at 10, but if I was a rail rat (like this guy) I wouldn't pay $200+ for bindings. I don't know what your trying to get at, rails aren't that intense even in Freeway here at Breck.

exactally right. if u go cheap on bndings u get cheap preformance. u speed the extra money u get more performance. big spence is right
