Bindings wit afterbangs

srry if this is a repost dont kill me i bought rossingal sas 120 wide binging origannly going to get line anthems but i think im gonna get the after bangs instead now i was wondering would this bindings be to havy for the afterbangs an return um an get a pair of markers or do you think ill be all set thanks!

ok........living with a few people riding afterbangs over the summer, heres what ive noticed....

the core gets SOAKED, cuaing the wood to deteriorate and rot. this makes a narrow patterned heelpiece want to tear out. best thing to do would be immediately coat the wood sides with some type of wood sealer. every pair ive seen has been pulling apart at flex points AND undefoot. next, put a pair of bindings with a wide screw pattern on. rossis are pretty narrow. this is the only time i will ever advocate the use of marker bindings.

im not going to name names or give specifics cause i casually mentioned it in another thread and it got deleted....but i have seen 3 pair skied by friends, one took the preventative measure of sealing the sides and his are holding together the best, still some slight peeling, he has had them since spring and rides almost every day now. another pair had been ridden since march back east, one week into their summer riding they snapped at the flex point because they had been peeling apart and the core was rotten. new pair came and they slightly peeled after about 4 weeks, still ridable...

I just mounted my pair of afterbangs. So i drilled the holes and usually put some glue before screwing the bindings in. So i did the usual n was to shock to see the glue coming form the sidewalls. I dont know if this has happen to anyone else but this seems as it would only lead to trouble...

fuck the afterbangs dude. a ski isn't good just because 1000 12 year olds tell you it is. so many people got those skis because of said saying and not because its the actual ski for them. haha i actually think its pretty funny. stick with the anthems.

seems pretty silly that it took them 4 years to develop the ski, but it takes on water when its on snow. i bet its from people clanking their tips together, gouging the core, then creating a place for water to enter.

exactly. you know anthems are gonna kill it for you, why get something different? to the post a few up about the glue, holy shit. a whole bunch of people are gonna be very pissed off very quickly if the skis are that sketchy
