Bindings: salomon or 4frnt

Yeah, I bet you'd break the binding that JO and CRJ use(tyrolia/4FRNT) or that Dumont and SC use. Tyrolias are incredibly durrable and the best bindings on the market.

I like Tyrolias more(buy from Tyrolia or Head, not from 4FRNT. 4frnt makes stupid changes to try to make them different, which doesn't matter, and raises the price). They are all I buy anymore. Peaks>mojos>free flex/railflex/etc for Tyrolia. Tyrolia>Salomon(GOOD salomons)>FKS. If you want solly's, get S914s/S912s(post a WTB on TGR) or 914 Labs, or STH 16s. NOT STH 12 or 14(09). I think the 2010 STH 14 has a driver toe so it'd be fine. Don't get any Z series or anything... good luck!

I had salomon s912ti bindings and my heel peice exploded. Get marker griffons or jesters, much more durable design because the hell peice wraps around the brace rather than have it fit in. Plus the jesters are metal where the salomons are plastic in the intergrated heel peice.

I used the sth 14's last year, and liked them fine. I really liked the toe on them. Like said don't get anything in the Z series. Friend of mine broke 2 pairs in a season.

I've got Deadbolt 18's (Tyrolia one's) and although I haven't used them yet, they are pretty freaking burly.

ive broken 3 salomon bindings in the past, and im not a heavy guy... they're made of cheap plastic materials that get brittle in the colder conditions. wouldn't recommend.

So man up and get the metal ones. Any plastic binding will break, including the markers. Get some 916s, or some comp16, youll have a harder time breaking those.

i broke the heel piece on the 14 sth when i landed flat on a spine, but i heard that 4frnt isnt that great either. go with rossi

im not really impressed with rossignols. i chipped the toe piece and they just aren't the best bindings out there

i'm a fan of the peak/mojo series, very secure feeling and consistent releasing. i've also got a pair of sth16s that i like, but don't wow me, solid but not spectacular. for me, the fks is everything.

i rode tyrolia peak 18s last summer and fall for about 5 weeks before they broke on me. never had a problem with any fks...

the tyrolia 4frnt bindings are bomb proof. ive had mine since mid season 2008 and they are still going strong, and i ski park pretty hard (claim)

Marker probably has the worst record of any binding company for reliability. Pre jester/duke no one even wanted them to touch their skis.

What broke on them..? And FKS are fine, I just don't find them as smooth turning as Tyrolias, and Tyrolia toes are safer(upward release..something some people have said is a bad thing but it's not like they pre-release, and I enjoy my knees). I have three pairsof Tyrolias(Peak 18 for LL2, Peak 15 for Pipe Cleaners, and FF12(ish) or WLs), and one pair of Dukes(to be on my 195 333s =D ). Maby you had a pair that came with a problem?
