Bindings - Rossi or 4frnt?

Soooooo, I sold all my ski equipment when I got injured two years ago, and I have no idea what I had my din set at. I'm 6'0'', 180lbs, and an expert skier. I do park and pow when I get the chance. What din range should I look for when I buy bindings? I think I am going to get the Rossignol Scratch 140 TIs with a 5-14 din, or the 4FRNT Deadlock 614's with a 6-14 din. Both would cost me $225 usd. Which ones should I get? (I don't think my shop has a jig for the 4frnt's which is making me lean more towards rossi)

Thanks,

Jake

ive heard stories of people breaking the rossi bindings easily ive had the 412's for 1 full season now and they so far have taken alot of abuse so id recoment getting the 412's or the 614's

based on that assumption and the assumption your an experienced skier your recomended din is 8.5. im guessing you probably ride at more than that. but if your shop doesnt have the 4frnt jig then i dont see the point in getting the 4frnts. grab the rossis. they are a solid choice no doubt.

yea im just worried about the 4frnt mounting because someone was telling me they can really screw it up if they don't have the jig. the guy at the shop told me he can get a paper jig from 4frnt or something like that, but playing it safe i should still go with rossi? or would that be fine?

just go rossi bro. there are a few people here and there that prefer 4frnt (vist) bindings to rossi/look but the general consensus is that rossi/look are the most well liked brand...

Dynastar owns look. So yes they are the same. And rossi is the same to. You pretty much cant go wrong, they are both really solid bindings.

few more quickie questions about these

1) do both rossi and 4frnt have vertical toe release? (and is that something I want)

2) will I have to bend 100mm brakes for 92mm skis?

3) if they can mount the 4frnts with the paper jig, is it still just a tossup between the two?

Thanks guys,

Jake

i can just buy them from the 4frnt shop for 35% off college discount, so 220 total which would still be cheaper than the 10% off from jibij

didn't know 4frnt made bindings, certainly you would be hard pushed to find them here in europe.

go look, rossi or sal,

stick to the ones you know best, those 3 are the most widely used and the best for a reason.

4frnt may be good, know nothing about them, their just not widely established (binding wise)

Ya I decided I am going to go with the Rossi's, I don't want to run into any complications with mounting the 4FRNT's
