Bindings ripping out of new set up.. LAME!!!

Hello all,

just wondering if any of you chaps have any experience with ripping bindings out of a new set up,

the heel piece of my rossi binding is pullin out of my Volkl Wall,

the main question is who is to blame?
do i take the skis back to the shop where they were mounted? do i mail them to volkl as they are only 2 months old?

any suggestions greatly appreciated, apparently the walls ride better 2cm back anyway so maybe thats my solution.

Go to your shop first. Make sure that they used the right size drill bit for the screws of the binding.
 
the EXACT same thing happened to a buddie of mines Walls. he just went back to the shop and yelled at them until they fixed it
 
i've ripped toe-pieces out of volkl dogens, and scratches (twice)

just get your shop to petex the holes and re drill into the existing holes. \

it sucks. i skied down 3/4 of whislter with one ski after blowing my toepiece off after a drop
 
ive seen it happen to a few pair of volkls... theyre just a stiffer ski...

as far as who is to blame id say most likely no body but yourself.... ive ripped mad bindings out of skis dude its just a part of jibbing and riding park...

if it hasnt destroyed the holes to shreads then the shop should be able to use heli-coils (sp?) and fix it no prob, back in the same holes...
 
take to them to a shop ask them to heelo coil (spelling sry)them its awesome ripped the bindings out or my seths and they did that and have yet to have any troubles
 
yeah i saw a kid up at wa wa that had some walls. his toe piece ripped out half way down the park.i felt bad for him. kind of interesting its the same ski though
 
yea did the same shit a couple weeks ago with my px12s on my ninthwards. took them to the shop and bitched and they fixed them
 
I have heard of SOOO many poeple breaking walls and ripping bindings out of them.

It's not your fault, It's vokls. they blew it with the walls this year, or at least a run of them.

You could get them helacoiled and wait for them to break, or for another binding to fall off, or you could just warrenty them now, and hope you get next years, or a better run.
 
word it sucks, it really sucks when it on a pow day as well. that what i did today...i rip ot my look pivot heel piece on karmas today
 
idk know what it is but this year i feel like all my buddies have broken at least 1 paris of skis. I cant decide if my friends and me just ride way harder or skis are getting weaker.
 
heard that volkl had some problems with glue/layers or something w/ this year's ski... can't remember which model(s) it was prob worth trying to warranty it
 
WHAT exact same thing appened to ine. brand new marker dukes ripped out and the edge blew out on the 6th day. the rep said he give me new ones and 3 month later and"he working on it" rediculus
 
yo man i work in a shop and this is what you should do go back to the shop tell them that they need to heli coil the screws on the heel piece and re glue them when they mount them if they do this they should be pretty bomb proof if they wont do this or dont know what a heli coil is you should have gone to a different shop in the first place best of luck though i ripped a heel piece out of my cr labs last year and then heli coiled them and had no problem after
 
sweet fellas, cheers for the help,

i'm gonna get them heli-coiled and then if it happens again i'm gonna send em back to volkl.

i heard that the first 1000 WALLS were dodgy from several sources but i thought those were all in New Zealand, it looks like its still a problem, bummer, because otherwise they are a dope ski!
