Only if the mounting is what caused the problem. What if a single bad core was at fault? What if the fiberglass hadn't been laid up properly? What if the epoxy hadn't set right? What if the ski wasn't pressed properly? What if the binding came with shitty screws? You can't possibly expect your shop to determine a ski's structural integrity BEFORE mounting.
Blaming the shop is gay if it's not their fault.
Basically, investigate the problem, find out what went wrong, THEN fix what screwed up your skis.
I'm sick of this "Bitch your shop out" mentality. If people knew how hard shop employees work for them, maybe they'd stop bitching and think about shit instead of coming in and bitching. Guess what people: IT ISN'T ALWAYS YOUR SHOP'S FAULT, SO STOP YELLING AT US.
Oh, and by the way, a fucking coffee and a donut will get you way better, faster, friendlier service with a fucking smile than yelling at the poor kid making $8/hr to sell skis, who's trying to subsidize a college education or a season's pass, rent, and ramen.
Oh, bring us beer and we'll do pretty much anything for you. bring us pizza and we'll do anything except provide sexual favours. We deal with 100 assholes a day, so being the customer that makes it worth it is to your advantage.
Just, you know, FYI. In case you're looking for really good help.
