I don't want to bring my nice skis tomorrow on the first day so I pulled out these bad boys. Realized the brake pad thing is missing but my shoe still clicks in, is this an acl tear waiting to happen or am I good to still ride them?
 
Should be aight as long as the brake goes up right? If your really worried should be able to take them to a shop that has a binding test machine thingy

Yeah brakes still go up and everything just that the black piece cracked and fell off somewhere
 
I'm leaning towards it being fine, as I dont think the heel rests on it. If you post photo with boot in it I could say for sure

Your release will be effected by the piece missing. will it be catastrophic? Tough to say. the plastic helps things slide away with catching. the metal could catch your boot causing something odd to happen
