Bindings Question

It snowed last night so my friends and I built a jump behind our dorm. I ski on twins but one of my friends doesn't and he kept flying out his bindings on his switch landings. The landing is flat, into shallow powder and he skis Volkl 5 Stars with Marker Motion LT bindings.

Anyway, eventually he noticed one of his ski brakes and the pedal attached to it were slightly crooked. He could still clip in though. So, I have two questions.

First, how can we fix the problem? We could take it to a shop, but if it's not too hard to fix, I'd prefer doing it on our own.

Secondly, once it is fixed, is there any way to adjust my friend's boots or bindings for switch landings? Or should he just give up on landing switch without twins?

Thanks for your help.

I have seen article about how to make twin tips out of flat backs, but i would just spend the money on some cheap last years model twin tips. I have bent my break so many times, all you have to do is bend it back, it takes alot of force, I would do it to all 4 and bend them up higher then they normaly are so that you are less likely to catch them again, its such a bitch when that happens. Tighten the din on the bindings, but be carful, you can fuck up your knees if you overtighten them. move the up in incruments of .5 until you find something good. There should be a screw in the front of the toe piece and somewhere on the heel piece, the location depence on the binding.
