Bindings mounted offcenter (sideways)

okay, so i had my elizabeths mounted and i just noticed after skiing on them the first time this weekend that the toepiece is shifted to one side like 4 mm or so. i am wondering how much of a problem this will be and if there is anyway to get the shop to get me new skis and remount them because i would like to keep them mounted at the front recommended point.

the only thing i am wondering is if line would even have any more of the elizabeths for the shop to replace them with, because i dont want to have my skis have plugged holes from them just moving the toepiece.

Talk to the shop. They need to replace your skis. As a tech myself I can say that that can be summed up to simple incompetence on the part of the tech. He obviously didnt follow the simple rule "check twice drill once."

Yeah this is a great reason to get the shop to get you new skis. This happened to me last season with a pair of K2 Public Enemys. The shop set the bindings up totally messed up and they replaced the skis for me.

4mm is alot, probably one of the rubber pieces on the jig is off which means the screws are actually at an angle new skis would be the ideal solution

Yeah, bitch at the shop and they HAVE to get iyou new skis. They'll offer to remount them for you, but that would either be forward/back of where you want them.

alright, so i bought my skis online at twintipnation.com, so how would i go about getting a new pair. would i just take them to the shop and tell them to order me new skis, or do i have to call up line and have them send me new skis and say the shop is paying for it?

thanks for the responses everyone.

this is why im worried about getting my ski smounted at my local shop. i have no confidence in them. i just know they'll screw up and try to avoid backing me up. its just their tech's open incomptetence that worries me.

the thing is the shop i went to is like the best shop around, they really know what they are doing, which is why this is so weird. the crappy part is they dont sell line so they cant just give me free boards from their place.

If you have a receipt from the purchase, that would help... they might just give you store credit. Or they might not do jack shit. It's pretty much a coin toss.

but store credit wouldnt get me another pair of lines, all they have are k2, and salomon, and im in no way trading elizabeths for guns or pistols.

I'm not saying it doesn't suck. But I doubt they'll buy you a new pair of skis from somewhere else... Just saying.
