i can get tyrollia TD8's for 100$, i am just wondering if this would be a smart move, i want to ski all over the mountain with them

dont get those man. I have never heard anythign good out of them as park bindings get rossi axials there real nice or salomon

Hey buddy i just got a pair of Pe's 2 I'm deffinatly putting Rossi bindings on them...I've heard nothing but good things about Rossi, or go for Look but it's the same thing so who cares.

The bottom line for PE's is getting a binding that has the most screw depth. I know everyone's heard about bindings ripping out of PE's. Well that problem is being fixed but some of you that bought PE's recently prolly have a pair that doesn't have the changes. But...don't worry it's not a huge problem. Just do one of 2 things...this is speaking from experience and talking to top people at K2 including team members and managers.

A- don't get Markers or Salomons cuz they ripped out of PE's more than any other binding (don't get me wrong...i love salomons).

B- If you must get Markers or Salomons, have each of the holes heeli-coiled (spelling?) when you have your skis mounted. This reinforces the holes very well.

C(for those of you who don't like the above options)- Just mount them up and warranty them if anything happens. Or coil them and warranty them later.

FOCUS your mind.

Please, for the love of god/satan/whateverthefuckelseyou'reinto, DO NOT BUY THOSE TD8'S. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. The bindings are SHIT. I spent 3 years on those bindings, and I've never had more release/non-release caused injuries in my life. Go out and get yourself a pair of looks, rossis, or Salomons if you're ready to follow the advice given to you by the guy who knows his shit when it comes to K2 skis. Just DO NOT get TD8's. Tyrolia might make a good binding, but that one isn't one of them.

Is that tyrollia low end binding? I love tyrollia binding but go with a rossignol binding. Last year i picked up some rossignol Race 120 binding for $50.00 they were on my Concepts but some one Jacked my skis.

I'm not sure if your in love with the bindings, or just love the price. But check on ebay for some good bindings. I bought some new 03 Salomon bindins (lower end msrp 185 though) for 51 bucks. I mounted them on my pe's.. we'll see what happens. I dont think them ripping out is a huge issue. But, we'll see once the season get's under way.

I guess I forgot to say why screw depth is an issue. A binding screw should have about 5 threads in the ski. People that had problems with Salomons and Markers found that they only had 3 threads in the ski. That's why you get the holes coiled. The coils are metal and they're glued in with extremely strong epoxy. Really hard to rip those out. I've never ripped a coil out in 23 years of skiing.

thanks for the advice, i guess i will stay clear of the tyrolias, i have look p12's on my madtrix and i think i will try to get a similar binding
