Bindings for Kartel 108's

I picked myself up a pair of K108's about a month ago and was looking for advice on bindings to mount. I'm planning on spending the winter in revy and use these as my all mountain/touring skis on and off resort. I've been thinking about getting a pair of shift's but I'm kinda skeptical how they'd hold up in hard pack, hard impacts and butters. Also, I think CAST might be out of my price range unless someone can sell me cheap pivot 18's hahaha.

You're right to be worried about the shifts on hardpack. Mine eventually started prereleasing super bad after a few months of everyday abuse. I'd get the cast system, then keep your eye out for deals on pivot 18s, people are always selling those things for cheap

Got shifts on my K108s. Probably logged about 25 days on them and 15 of those involved at least a morning or afternoon of hardpack. Couple chill park kicker laps in there too. They ride it solid and they have only released once or twice when I didn't want - landing switch I believe.

For Revy I think they're ideal and my yearly trips out that way are part of the reason I have that exact setup.

That said, I'm not a heavy dude and I probably don't send as hard as someone would living in Revy for a season, so it seems worth it to give more weight to other people's accounts if you foresee yourself abusing them.

check ebay, craigslist, newschoolers bst, tgr, you can usually find some used pivot or fks 18s for less than 200 if you check frequently and wait for a decent price
