Bindings for elizabeths

alright, so i was supposed to be able to get pro form on scratch 140's with wide brakes, but they are sold out. so now my options are either fks 155 for $190, or online scratch 140's for $200.

my dilema lies in that i am nervous about breaking the brakes on the fks bindings but the scratches are more expensive. would it even be possible to get a shop to bend them out for that fat of a ski, or would i have to do it myself by looking at the post from the tgr forum. which binding would you guys suggest?

thanks for the help.

It's a formidable bend job, maybe too hard if it's your first. But if you have the proper equipment (vices) it is doable. I would just cut off the arms and turn up the din if I were you though, that's what Pollard does.

All the shop guys around here tend to complain a lot about having to bend rossi brakes at ALL. A couple have told me they just plain won't do it.

do you really need bindings that beefcake for the elizabeth? they aren't exactly a ski that you ski really hard on.

actually, now i just found out that i can get s914's for $120. does the regular wide brake fit on these, or would i have to bend these as well?

thanks for all the responses everyone.

okay, i have one final question before i decide. can the plate that comes with the s914 be taken off before you mount it? and finally, i am just making sure that it is possible to get wide brakes for the s914? it looks like they are the same brakes as the 912, so would these work?

thank you very much to everyone who responed in this thread, this is my final question.
