Bindings and switch landings dont mix

I Just used a new pair of rossi's 'free 140's' for the first time and the heel is already loosening up(center post)!!! I've broken two heels on apparently bomber bindings (Atomic C:14's and Salomon's p14's) since january, all doing switch landings. My f**king rossi's were supposed to be da bomb but now I dont think they will make it through december.

Is this normal? Anyone else found bindings that can take switch landidngs?

Im kind of talll so I think maybe im just too heavy (200lbs) to be doing switch landindgs on the backcountry, but what the hell, should I stop doing them cause there's no binding out there that can keep up?!. I got no problem with early release...until the whole heel explodes on a landing.

F**k that, Im thinking of just screwing my boots straight into my skis, who the heel needs knees anyway if you cant rip out there.

Any suggestion on bindings that are not disposable, or at leat last a whole season of doing switch bindings? I dont care about release at all, I just want my bindings to last.

get salomon 920s or something - those things are seriously tanks. only downside is that you'll NEVER release... ever.

read his post, he has no problem with releasing, its that his bindings rip outta the skis.

what skis are you using?

I'm using last year motherships, I worried about em, cause I already drilled them three times.

Hope they can take a fourth

Do you mean the 912's salomons?, Is there a 920?, Ive had the 914's that have a 14din, and they have been the ones that lasted the most, but that was only like 2 months. Ive been thinking, could the wide skis i use (mothership 190's) be making more leverage when I land not exactly switch but on my edges, so that it creates enough force to screw the bindings? maybe its the fat skis that are causing the bindings to break (98mm wide)?

I took my heel din down to 7.5 on p14's and no loosening yet toe is still at 9, no false ejection yet either but I am 5'11 155 so its not as hard on them. Try cranking the din down so they will release first before pulling that hard on the screw. My old p12's are loose enough to move around with my hand and up off the ski one 'click' I think they are just torn up and the screw is not actually loose, just the heel mechanism, it tightens up better when clicked in but unclicked it seems rackity. Just roll with it being your third drill and then they are rail skis.

Salomon doesn't have a great record with the heelpieces, honestly. Yes, Rossi's were a good choice, but perhaps you really need something beefier. The Look p18 or the Rossi FKS 155 or 185 are both about as durable as they get. If you can find either, they are solid.

I dream of winter.

def fks, I just checked mine and the left one is fucked it is so loose if you put your hand on the tip and tail on the ground and flex them back and forth the heel is so losse it sounds like it will just fly off fuck.

Try Line Reactor bindings, you need a binding with a rear vertical release.

The upcoming 4frnt bindings are gonna be made to aviod this very thing with switch landings. They put the screws in a creativy position or something to prevent it.

my heelpeice is a wee bit loose too but its supposed to be with the whole pivot thing? but it shouldnt be shaky or anything..... but yeah mayb your landing too for back? i dunno, thats weird.

oh yeah? well me and my friends have been bathing off the southern coast of st. bards, chilling with spider monkeys. tripping on acid gave us a whole new perspective on shit.

I had a pair of brand new look p12 that got all f'ed up on a switch landing. It spun the toe piece 90 degrees, and the landind killed.

try a differnt shop, and have them epoxy the bolts in. it could also be the ski, not the bindings. some skis (like k2) rip out easier

i looked on google but all i could find was 3D Animation porn-sxmarty6
