Binding travel/INSERTS suggestions

im heading across the pond with two pairs of skis. i need to find the most efficient way to bring them over. here's some scenarios i've thought out, just wondering what NS would do.
1 - one pair of bindings for both skis, install inserts. this seems like the most logical. cheap, low profile to pack and saves me from buying a second pair of bindings. my main problem with this is that i DO NOT want to be fucking around with tools on the mountain tightening the screws every few runs.
2 - buy two bindings, drill the holes here (free) and then hand screw the bindings on once im there (also free). once again, low profile and ill have a solid mount once im there. i can't think of any problems here, i would just fill the holes with something temporary while travelling.
3 - buy two bindings and have them mounted here and then bring them over. the only advantage is that i could mount them myself, i imagine travelling with the bindings mounted rather than a flat ski can cause some problems, especially with two pairs.
4 - bring both skis and bindings over and have them mounted there.
so far im leaning towards 1 or 2. i just really don't want to have to fuck with inserts while skiing, and id have next to no use for them once over there and at home. i know my snowboard bindings get loose after a single run in the back foot, given it is a super soft board and the mechanics are obviously different but still. i may also post this in the quiver killer thread cause its turned into a thread about inserts...

if you are going to be mounting the skis at home and bringing them, the best way that i have found for travelling with multiple pairs of skis is to get a soft sided double ski bag a little longer than your skis and put the skis in like this, obviously in 2 rows, and if you are worried about damage, wrap some t shirts, hoodies, outerwear etc around and in between them, but i have used this method many times with no damage.

some of the skis already have the metal inserts in them. but since you dont have them it wouldnt help you at all.

When i flight to SLC i bring 2 pair of ski, my JJ's and my salomon 3v, in a small ski bag. I put some bubblepaper (?) and my ski was fine.

I've been using Quiver Killer inserts all year on 4 pairs of skis WITHOUT loctite and never had a problem with the screws getting loose after one day. I usually check them after a day or two of riding and some of the screws may require a quarter turn or so to tighten them. Never have had to tighten them during the day though. Go for it.

Do you reckon Quiver Killer or similar inserts will be a hassle with Jesters because of how they're mounted on plastic plates? Also, is there anywhere to find out which length/type of fasteners are best for different bindings? I ask because I'd probably go for Jondrums' Binding Freedom inserts, they seem to be cheaper and from I've read better quality, but they don't carry packs for Jesters or Head Mojos which are my two most likely choices.

I have sets of quiver killers, and the inserts from Bindingfreedom. I have two sets of screws for Mojo bindings that I got from quiverkillers.com They work fine. They are M5 buttonhead screws you can find at any hardware store. Shoot me a PM and I will tell you what lengths you need for Head bindings. Also, keep in mind that the Bindingfreedom inserts have more thread depth.
