Binding Switching

So my question is this: Would it work to take a pair of bindings off of 1 ski, and thread them into predrilled holes on a different ski? I just got some used skis, and the previous holes arent filled, so I wondered if this would work or not. I'm aware that the size might be off and things like that, but would it work? Something tells me it wouldnt work, but it cant hurt too ask. Thanks

If the hole pattern is the same and the holes aren't stripped then its totally fine. put wood glue in the holes if they aren't stripped and if they're stripped then mix some steel wool shavings with epoxy and use that

yea its pretty important for the hole pattern to be exactly the same....
