Binding position and performance?

alright so, I gettin ready to go get my bindings mounted and have kinda settled on 2+ from center. My question(s) is aside from the balance you may get from a center mount on rails, does it also affect your balance in the air? I have been skiing my skis that literally have about a foot and a half of ski behind and about 4 feet in front (SOOOO FAR BACK)

When doing a spin in the air, will a center mount be significantly easier to spin on than 2+? Grinding is really not an issue i dont do it because I need my skis to last a while. I also am assuming that being farther back on the ski lets you charge down the hill a bit harder, thats why I am thinking of a 2+.

Any input on the relationship of spins/hill charging/cliff hucking in relation to your position on the ski?

if you're talking two cm back from true center not core center you won't notice much of a difference spinning or on rails too much. your swing weight will be a little off. i've found it easier to spin at true center. but it's not that bad at 2 cm back. but they aren't going to like riding switch very much. at all. i would just mount them up true center. but that's all i've been riding for the past 5 or 6 years so i'm used to it. and i can charge WAY harder on true center skis than i can on skis mounted back. it's all personal preference. i mounted my caylors 1cm back from center and it's okay but i regret not mounting them true center. as far as hucking cliffs goes i like center mount better. more tail to support me when i land backseat. two back isn't going to make a huge difference for this but the skis will ride differently. i charge hard on true center skis and have no issues. but that's what i'm used to.

well considering i have no preference would it be aight to go center, then i can grow accustomed to center mount. sounds like center mount has a higher possibility for steeze

If you ride park mostly, mount them center for better swing weight but if you don't and ride mostly all mountain/ backcountry, then mount them forward. it depends on the size of the ski as well

BUMP!

I got my skis mounted 4cm back from center I KNOW I KNOW...you guys might say too far back but the mounting directions for the skis said traditional/pow was -6 and freeride/jib was center so i went in between at -4, looked to be the best option for my type of riding which includes hardly any park riding if any.
