binding off center

i just got a new setup and am wondering if it matter that the binding is not lined up in the center of the ski. its off to the side a bit. will this effect my riding at all?

 
If it's mounted like that, it's supposed to be mounted like that. You should look at B3s, the binding is way to one side. Otherwise you couldn't carve, I spose.

The only way the bindings should be mounted off-center is if the skis are super fat skis and if that's the case the off-set should be exactly the same for both skis...check them out....if they aren't identical demand a new pair......this happened to me once and I just told the shop 'I just paid a lot of money for these skis and I can tell who ever mounted them didn't use a jig,you can see for yourself if you have an accurate eye.I won't settle for pluged holes and a remount, I want new skis' ...and I got them and the employee felt like a fool

 
the closer it is to centered the better they are for rails i find. and you dont land on the backs of yours skis as much

its easier to spin too. first time out on new bindings that were perfectly center i threw a straight nine for th efirst tiem.

you want them in the center of your ski bro, no skis should be mounted like that, fucking retards

B3's are mounted in the center, some of my friends have them, whoever mounted your skis fucked up

I had demos, but the binding position actually helped. I can see mounting them in the center, it'd work fine, but I felt like I had better edge control turning in powder with them the way they were (and I was in the Baker BC, doesn't get much more powdery than that).

mines the same, i dont really notice it too mcuh, they were drunk when they mounted them

don't take shit from the store they messed up, go in and demand new skis, its bettter to have them mounted properly

 
ok so i went there today and the tech said they wouldnt buy me new skis because its not that big of a deal. he would however remount them, give me my money back, give a free tuning(which it doesnt need. theyre brand fucking new) and a waxing. 'bullshit' i said and left. im going to take it up with the owner

 
just get yout money back and buy something else, like new shit, and not that shit!

ya, same thing happened to me cause they couldnt fit my skis into their jig. nice how they went ahead and tried to do it anyway. just get them to remount them a couple cm up.

then i let it run for awhile, just because i can.

 
you should probably just have them remount them , especially since its free. but it is pretty shitty that they mounted them wrong. but a tuning will do nothing for newskis, the edges are obviously sharp and company wax is really good.

but you should be happy theyll remount for free
