About me: 5'7, 150lbs. Intermediate park skier. East coast.

Just bought a pair of AR7s. Looking for the right bindings now.

I know very little about bindings. From the binding sticky I think Im around the 10-12 din range. I do want some room to advance once i get better and go bigger.I would really like to spend around $150-250 max $300.

Also I really the bindings that have the heel pivot. I'm willing to spend the money for a safer very binding. Is it really worth it?

Thanks for the help guys/gals.

With your stats even at a level III skier on the DIN chart you will most likely only come out to between a 6 and 8 depending on your boot sole length. I know most of us don't ride the recommended but that is where you will be at on the chart. That said you will want to be solid in the middle of the din range Take a look at the Look Pivot 14 $299 should put you in the heart of the range.

yeah you're more of maybe a 6-8 din like the guy above said, if you set it at 10-12 you will be fucked. As far as bindings, in my opinion rossignol fks/look pivot are worth the money. FKS/Pivot 14's sound perfect for you. Idk what the first guy who posted was thinking but Axial 2's do not have the pivoting heal piece.

If your willing to spend the $300, look/FKS pivot 14 is your fit as the others said . I've ridin the pivot for 7 years, love em ! Stand by em... But no matter what others tell you, the pivot heel is not a garauntee knee saver! Their is no scientific evidence on knee safety with the pivot ! Thousands of experts swear by them, but if you perform torque tests on the binding, backwards twisting falls are still a killer! They DO provide much more flexibility and elasticity which in turn is prolly their greatest benefit, leading the masses to believe they are safer. Good luck in your decision !
