okay, i just bought some s912ti's and i was wondering what everyone thought of this binding as opposed to the look jib series.

thank you for the input, and by the way i did use the search button but didn't find anything helpful.

yes this should be in the equipment forum but no one gave me any helpful answers.

well the ti is much liter but i belive the din gose up to 12 on bouth bindings, im a fan off look myself but u will need to put your dinn much higher on the ti the on the look but those are the only 2 main difernces

what happined to drugs, sex, & rock and roll...now adays we have aids crack and techno.......

no you dont need to crank the din higher, you just need to make sure the toe peice is set right, which any respectable shop should do for you

looks suck, as well as rossis (same thing) they are both unreliable, plastic, look gay, when u land switch it will make u feel like your gonna eat shit, if u dont...then they break because they suck... plus they have massive dildos on the back to rape u if u land in the back seat or try and sit on your tails... i love salomons, they look dope, are durable as diamonds, and i feel safe in them, they are a little heavier, but not bad... however the NO ACL tearing feature of the Line's is probably worth the huge dildo on the back.. anyway, go with Line or Salomon, fuck look.

^ a rear pivot feature is on the Lines, normal bindings have a pivot on the front only. Lines have pivots on both front and back. ACL's are injured by falling back or forward and twisting, normal bindings only release when u fall forward and twist, lines release both if u fall back or forward and twist, this virtually destroys ACL injury... in my opinion that huge progress in skiing safety outways the gay dildo thingy on the back... so if your paranoid about being out for 8-9 months with an ACL go with Line, if not go with salomon..

Rossi and Look bindings are all metal, not plastic you tool. Not to mention that the rediculously large front piece of the salamon binding looks like crap, especialy since the back is rediculously small.

Everyone also knows that the salamon binding is a lighter binding than look/rossi's as well, hence why salamon has so many reliability problems. Salamon is also known to pre-release like whores as well.

You've got to be shitting me, first of all, you must have the shortest femurs in the world to be able to sit so close to the back of your boot on those supposed dildos. The reason those dildos are there, is because it saves mounting space, thats why axial bindings such as look/rossi are becoming desired so much more. If anything, the chances of getting ass raped by salamon bindings is greater, since it requires so much more mounting space on the ski.

Oh, and as saucerboy84 said, look/rossi bindindings have rear pivot as well.

So the moral of the story is, don't talk shit like you know, cause almost everything you said there was a load of crap.

i ride the salomon ti's, theyre seem to work super well for me, and theyre lighter than most of the competition.

so in review you guys say go with looks if i want a compact binding that is moderately heavy and durable, as well as a rear pivot.

and go witht the salomons if i want a lighter binding. does it release better than looks in backwards falls? also has anyone had any durability problems with the salomons? they have a five year waranty but i dont want to have to be trading them in during the season to get them fixed.

Dookz - Salomon's might be lighter than looks, i dunno, never weighed them, but they look heavier, if they are lighter then that is just 1 more reason why Salomon kicks Looks ass... also, i have seen, felt, skied look bindings... the ones i felt were plastic, not metal... out of 4 pairs, 3 broke... also, i am 5'7, normal build, and i have hit my ass on the bindings so dont say thats impossible... if Looks really have rear pivots that is dope, but i wont belive it till i see something from them, not a NSer... the point is i have never rode or had a friend ride a good pair of look bindings that didnt break (cept one kids didnt break, but he still said that he hated them)... so my point is, LOOKs suck...

^ No, Salomons dont have rear pivots, and NO LOOKS WILL BREAK!!!

what... ok, first off, the newer salomon bindings are notorious for prereleasing as well as those little plastic parts, which make it lighter i might add, that like to break a lot. looks might be a little on the heavier side, but so what? it's not like you're ever going to notice as the swing weight of the ski is based around the ski itself and not the binding (wince the binding is DIRECTLY under you, it's going to be in the middle of the spin, thus weight is distributed evenly). that said, the REASON looks are heavier is, as someone noted earlier, because there are more metal parts in the binding making it a lot more solid than all those plastic parts (and the few titanium parts here and there) in salomon bindings. the older salomon 900s rock don't get me wrong, but that's because they had a lot more metal parts. but now they've forsaken the durabilty and made a cheaper, and inherently less solid, binding and stuck a 'titanium' label on it so the things will sell like hot cakes. no thanks. i'll stick to my P12s

i use look zrs and everyone else should use race stock bindings cause they last forever and are superpimp....ps. anyone wanna buy or trade my brand new 912ti's?

man, if LOoK made a pivot on the back how come i havent heard about it? at all? Every Line's ad is like, pollard skiing on his new ski with the reactor binding which prevent tearing ACL's, i have never seen anything about Looks rear pivot... somebody post a link to their site saying they have a bninding that releases both in back and fornt preventing ACL injury
